This is certainly one of the most gorgeous settings and inns I have seen in New England. The accommodations and environs stand up to the Relais & Chateau standards. All that said, the Sunday brunch we enjoyed as a party of 10, was really just average. Service was very warm, attentive, and informed. However, the menu was fairly limiting. The dishes were under-seasoned. The famed BLT omelet that I ordered was incredibly dry and flavorless. While it was nice to have a warm basket of pastries, cheese, and charcuterie plates delivered, they were prosaic at best.
We hope to return to give dinner a try. I would imagine it's worlds better but recommending Sunday brunch, not so much.
