Not our first meal at this beach eatery. Prior visits were much more satisfying. Scallops, fries and onion rings were Greasy with a capital G. The onion rings were not the least bit edible. Visually it was so obvious I am discouraged that the chef and server would actually deliver them to the table. Prior visits were much better (hence our return) Not sure why this happened , but I doubt I shall try again. At the very least it seems the food is not consistent. It was too dreadful to take another chance. :(

So you enjoyed all your previous visits and after one sub par visit on an off day you will never visit again. OK, your choice is made and mind made up. Not much to discuss here then.

I'm glad you liked the food and hope you try us again sometime. As for the prices, fresh seafood isn't cheap but we believe our prices are fair. The Misquamicut beach area was devastated by Superstorm Sandy and our prices must reflect the astronomical cost of flood insurance, rebuilding costs, and the normal high ocean front rent costs. If you comparison shop, we are the most affordable dining option on the beach for our type of seafood. We also offer a groupon deal and we are the only restaurant on the beach to do that as well. Thank you for allowing us to state our view on this matter.

Clean restaurant, owner very friendly and informative. Extensive menu. Not everything is fried but most of it. We tried fisherman's platter and crab cake sandwich -- all yummy! Go - u won't be disappointed!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I always enjoy talking with and getting to know our customers. They are part of the fabric of our family owned restaurant and many of them have been with us almost two decades since we first started in Westerly in 1997. Thanks for the visit and see you soon!

They don't even offer a lobster meal! What seafood resturant doesn't offer lobster? They do rolls but that's not the same. Not a ton of seating. Everything is fried. Mulah

Everything is fried? Everything is fried oh yeah except for our grilled shrimp, grilled salmon, shrimp cocktail, Maryland crab cakes (side and sandwiches), house salads, hot and cold lobster rolls, grilled chicken, chowders and bisques, etc. We actually have a lot of non fried items. Our menu is prominently posted and they're hard to miss. As for our seating, thirty on the deck and 50 inside (limited by the fire marshal) is plenty. What kind of seafood restaurant doesn't offer a lobster meal? Our kind of seafood restaurant. Our rolls more than satisfy any lobster lover. We do a select number of items and we do them very well and do not stray. There are places a mile away in either direction that offer boiled lobster, we would have been happy to offer directions, in fact we do all the time. You can't please everyone. Mulah.

I left this review on Yelp, but wanted to spread the word....

You absolutely have to love a place that does seafood the old fashioned way, and does it very well. We ate here a number of times when the restaurant was on Granite St, but this was our first time down the beach as we are not beach-goers. That will have to change, The place is kitschy in a wonderful New England seafood joint way with indoor and out door seating in a great location across the street from the beach, and the welcome was warm and immediate. This restaurant is family run and it shows. Great attention to detail, clan as a whistle and a well thought out menu with a modern approach to traditional offerings. They are careful to use the best ingredients and prepare them perfectly.

We ordered the crab & corn chowder to start and it was warm and delicious with spot-on seasoning and lots of crab. It was so good, I saved most of it (and a cup was a generous portion) to take for lunch the next day. My dad had the twin lobster rolls dinner and I had the fish and chips. The lobster rolls were stuffed full of lobster meat and just the right amount of dressing. I took a picture to send to my sister in Delaware to torture her, it looked and tasted so good. The fish was perfectly prepared, flakey, flavorful... just great. The fries were good, but a special shout out to co-owner Nancy for the homemade cole slaw....yum! It was seasoned and dressed exactly the way it should be, and you could still catch the flavor of the cabbage which is usually lost in all the mayo. Here, it was wonderful and I would get a double side next time.

Overall, this is a wonderful place to get lunch or dinner or both if you want seafood & service that will not disappoint.

Thank you so much for your favorable review! It is an honor when someone takes the time out of their day to express such a thoughtful and accurate opinion! We feel that our fish and chips, cole slaw and twin lobster roll platters can't be beat! As noted we are a small family business and feel we must go the extra mile to ensure our customers have a clean place to enjoy our award winning seafood (we won best seafood for eight straight years in the Westerly Sun on line readers poll). Thanks for visiting us and come again very soon!!
