This Inn is wonderful. The guests rooms are spacious. I had a great room overlooking the bay. It had a wonderful setting with table and chairs right next to the window. I sat there in the morning with my cappuccino (complementary) to begin my day. It was so relaxing, even though I was there for business.
The staff was excellent and attended to every need that I had, including de-feathering my room in advance.
I would definitely go back.
Also, complementary coffee and snacks and chocolate chip cookies all day long, right down the hall from the guests rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at the Weekapaug Inn in late May this year - the location was gorgeous with water views from most rooms, many porches and sitting areas, great common space, good bar and restaurant area and a super breakfast in the morning. The pool looked great, but it was chilly & rainy, so we snuggled in with a book and enjoyed the fires in the fireplaces as well as the super comfortable reading areas - our dinner was delicious, with farm to table local offerings, plenty of selections for our whole party - the wine list was ample, the cocktails perfect and the wait staff was very helpful - we would definitely come back for more great meals and to stay again -
the list of summer activities looked great w/ s'mores, cook outs, campfires outside, gorgeous pool & walk-to beach - a perfect visit -

Thank you for such a wonderful review. As you say, even in rainy weather, our guests can still relax and enjoy themselves. I hope you can come back and visit during the summer months as we do have a wonderful line-up of resort activities on and around the pond.

This Inn is the most charming Inn that we have ever visited. From the moment you arrive, you realize that you are about to enjoy an enchanting stay. The location is simply stunning; with a beautiful Inn over-looking a salt-water pond. A short stroll away will lead you to one of the nicest beaches on the East Coast (2+ miles of pure white sand with very powerful waves); so relaxing for sure.

Now back to the Inn... the service is top notch. From the valet service to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant, one couldn't ask for anything more. All were so incredibly kind and helpful. The character of this Inn is very much casual but chic. It is just what one would expect from a beautiful New England seaside retreat. Very informal but classy. They really did a great job of finding the right balance and developed a world class Inn tucked away in one of the nicest neighborhoods that one could imagine.

Breakfast at the Inn was outstanding (especially the poached eggs over lobster hash). Dinner was special and the both the duck and the steak with veal short ribs were delicious.

What we enjoyed most during our stay was simply embracing all that the Inn and the local area has to offer. Walking the deserted beach was refreshing. Exploring the Salt Water Pond at low tide was fun. Taking a dip in the hot tub after a long morning walk was perfect and venturing out to the outdoor fire pit to enjoy roasted marsh mellows after dinner was a blast.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention the rooms. The room we enjoyed, while on the small side, had the highest quality linens, bedding, pillows, an toiletries. The 2 headed shower was a treat. The room decor was what one would expect in a beautiful seaside resort; luxurious for sure.

We couldn't possibly have enjoyed our stay any more than we did and we will look to return as often as possible.

Facing a beautiful salt pond, with a long, wide, pristine ocean beach just steps away, this resort's setting is superb. We stayed in the ambitiously priced Green Heron Suite, which has lovely decor, pretty views all around, and such amenities as a beautifully appointed kitchen and a delightful sitting room with gas fireplace. Two couples or a family could have plenty of room in the suite. The beds were outrageously comfortable. In the smaller bedroom an annoying intermittent mechanical sound kept me awake till I pried open the windows, allowing the delicious sea breeze to drown it out. (the staff said they'd investigate.) one minor odd thing about the suite, there is no phone. To receive or place a call to the front desk, you use the intercom by the door. So if you are waaay back in the bedroom and the 'phone' rings, you have to race out to the door to answer it. There is also a mistake in the description of this room on the website: it claims to have an "outdoor soaking tub." There isn't one, nor is there a deck, which I had thought would come with the tub. My one other complaint, the staff is almost TOO friendly. There is abundant staff and every single one greets you whenever you pass anywhere in the inn. We ate two meals, lunch, and the sumptuous breakfast that's included with the room. It would have been clear to anyone that we were two old friends talking very intently. A skilled waitstaff should be able to glide in and out, taking care of the diners' needs while gauging whether they wish to engage with the staff in conversation or not. Yet the staff (hostess, manager, busboy, waiter, beverage manager; you get the idea) interrupted literally every few minutes to ask how we were enjoying our stay, this dish or that, (all 5 mini courses of the brunch), more coffee, more water, did we like the view, you name it. The food, it should be said, was excellent. Other good food choices in the area are not abundant, so if you don't mind constant interruptions, by all means dine at Weekapaug as well.

Thank you for these constructive comments. We are a newly opened property and our staff is very interested in making sure our guests are enjoying their stay and their meals. I apologize for the frequent interruptions and will use this as a learning tool for our staff. Also, the lack of a phone (and television) in the rooms is purposeful as we strive to replicate the simple lifestyle that the original Inn offered and, in this highly connected day, help our guests disconnect from their busy routines. We hope you will join us again!

If you're interested in a low-key getaway, the Weekapaug Inn is the place. Really laid-back and special! Rooms are elegantly simple and the food is wonderful (monk fish is delicious!) and the service is beyond measure. We'll come back when we need to decompress! Plenty to do but late night shenanigans is not one of them. If you're looking for "action" this is not a good match; if you looking for a wonderfully relaxing time away from the "every day", this is the place!

Thank you for such an insightful review. You have explained exactly what the owners and staff intended the guests to experience. We wanted to carry on the relaxed and laid-back vibe the Inn was always known for, but ad a bit of elegance and luxury. We hope you will visit us again soon.

The room was wonderful and offered an exceptional view. Fantastic bathtub! Grounds are quiet and nicely maintained. The food was very good and with only one exception, the staff was superb. The exception - the dining room manager during one afternoon was incredibly rude in response to my request that the kitchen permit me to order one entre for the dinner dining room that it offers only to non-formal diners. My family was coming for an anniversary dinner and one member asked for fish and chips. I didn't think was such an unreasonable request but he did and he spoke to me in such a way way that I considered leaving.

This is a beautifully restored property on the water in Rhode Island. It is a top notch operation from check in to check out. As you arrive, the doorman greets you and asks you your name and brings you to reception and introduces you. As you register, your bags are wisked to your room. You are offered a glass of champagne by the polished and uniformed reception staff and then given a tour of the Inn and taken to your room. Ours was a unique, sunny room on the third floor. Since this is a gratuity free Inn, no need to tip the door man, housekeeping, etc.. it is covered by the $26. resort fee. I don't care for resort fees, but at least here it has that upside. Our room was spotless, water pressure was excellent, towels were fluffy, wifi was good. They have a 24 hour guest pantry offering hot and cold beverages and snacks. Mugs are on a warming shelf - just an example of the attention given to detail here. There are various common areas to relax in and enjoy. The fitness room is in a detached building, just a short walk outside, but you do need to go outside. It is rather small and there are no TV monitors, but the exercise machines do face the water and pool area, so at least you have something to look at. By the way, there are no TV's in the room, but one can be requested. Breakfast is included and is delicious with some very interesting choices, excellent service, nice presentation and a view of the water. In additon to the cooked entree, you can help yourself from a buffet of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals and pastries.
They offer various activities; bicycles with helmets are at the ready outside and they have an on site naturalist who conducts tours and gives talks. It is right on the water and the beach is just a short and pleasant walk away. This is really a wonderfully restored property, modern, yet it retains the old fashioned feel of a refined ocean retreat. It abounds in history which can be relived through many books and pictures throughout the Inn. A great getaway.
