Have had 2 excellent dinners at Ella's and have written before, but #3 was a disappointment. Not the food so much - 4 out of 5 items were, again, excellent, altho 3 scallops topped with crabmeat was $34.00. Sent the Shanghai Pork entree back because it was way overcooked. The staff apologized and asked if there was anything else I would like. Once that happens, I don't want anything else, my appetite is gone. So, not that I was looking for any special consideration, but when this has happened in other restaurants, they offer dessert, coffee or an after dinner drink as a way of recognizing disappointment. Maybe they're not accustomed to items being sent back. But they should have a better "recovery" plan.
