While staying in Warwick, we tried the Crow's Nest based upon a friend's recommendation. Our party of six, had various seafood dishes and all were satisfied with their meals. While not gourmet seafood dishes, all were well prepared. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service was very good. A reasonable wine list is available. Be aware that when making a reservation, one is putting one's name on a list so be prepared for a wait after arriving. This is a good choice if you are looking for basic seafood at a reasonable cost.

The Crow's Nest in Warwick is a busy place and for good reason. Its location right on Apponaug Cove, the quality of the food they serve up, and affordable pricing make it one of those places people choose when they don't want to have to think hard about a place everyone in their party will be happy with. It's always good! Only one thumbs down – it's a noisy place. Couples would have a hard time gazing into one another's eyes and speaking softly. As long as you understand that before you go...
There is also a separate room with a nice bar and smaller tables, where big windows face the cove.
Dinners are generally traditional American fare with the regional specialities like linguine with clam sauce, clam chowder and clam cakes, broiled and fried seafood, shrimp, scallops, etc. And many of the dinners are offered in a smaller portion.
Service is always excellent and they are very accommodating. The waits can be long at peak hours and there aren't many places to sit (although the view of the cove outside is nice), but overall, it's worth the wait!

This was my second visit and both times I was disappointed. I usually try to give places a second chance but really shouldn't have. Clam chowder: potato pieces were under cooked otherwise ok. Stuffed lobster -was recommended by the waitress - was disappointing. Lobster was barely cooked. Parts were still runny. Stuffing was plain and very dry. I found only 3 scallops and 2 bitty shrimps in The stuffing. Waitress said its full with seafood. I ordered broccoli au gratin but received cole slaw. She exchanged it. Broccoli was indelible - overcooked brown (not green) glob, very unappetizing. Mashed potatoes were bland. The gravy was the best of all, although I think it came from a package?
Items were overpriced in comparison to other local bay front places.

All in all twice is enough for me. Both times it was during a business trip.

This is not a hip place, but the food was excellent. Our group had steamers, cocktail shrimp, fish & chips, and surf and turf. Everything was really tasty. Our waiter was so on top of it. Was all concerned my husband's filet was overdone, but husband thought it was one of the best pieces of steak he ever had and he's a huge steak eater.
