“Good Courtyard Marriott Standard”

Hotel was a good hotel, a litlte hard to find since it's hidden behind Bugaboo Creek!

The front desk was very helpful and even handed us a print out with addresses for local bars. Room was spacious and clean.

Didn't fly out of the airport so couldn't tell you if it was convenient or not!

My husband and I stayed one night here while in town for a concert. I found the check in to be smooth and the staff to be very friendly. Our room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable with nice bedding and pillows. I also liked that there was a refridgerator and microwave in the room. We were on the first floor in the front of the hotel so we were worried about the noise at night but it was very quite and we slept quite well. Also you couldn't beat the price. I have never gotten more bang for my buck when it comes to a hotel. We were going to the Dunkin Donuts center downtown so it was a pricey cab ride but we saved more staying here instead of a hotel downtown than what the cab fare cost.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights when we were visiting Providence and Newport (which were both wonderful by the way - well worth a visit). The hotel itself was very nice - pleasant lobby, large rooms, decorated up to Marriott standards. Unfortunately, there were slight cleanliness issues - dust and hairs on nightstands, etc. I should mention that I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness, and in the greater scheme of things, this hotel was fairly clean - but we did notice the dust and hairs. Also, they did not replace our empty box of Kleenex, but when I called the front desk, they did send one up even though it was pretty late in the evening.

The bed was very comfortable (and clean), and the thermostat was very responsive - which was important, because it's pretty chilly in RI in October! In terms of location, the hotel is farther than I thought it would be from both Providence and Newport (especially Newport). When we first arrived in Providence, we had to take a taxi to the hotel, which ran about $20 one way. After we rented a car, we were still surprised at how much driving was needed to get between Warwick/Providence/Newport. If you're there in October, this can be a blessing in disguise, because the fall foliage is so beautiful and the drives are the perfect way to see the changing leaves. But without a car, it would be near impossible to get around.

Very close to airport. Above average room, service and bedding. Breakfast was very good and attendant/waitress really went out of her way to be nice. Room had two queen beds, we were two adults and two kids. We only stayed one night.

I'm surprised at many of the reviews on this board. My two-day experience at this hotel was positive. The check-in process was straight forward, the room was tastefully decorated in that standard corporate Marriott Courtyard manner, the bed was comfortable and I thought the room was very clean. On the afternoon I arrived, I found the hot water in the shower to be lukewarm and I informed the front staff about this. The next morning, the water was hot.

In regards to the previous poster who mentioned that the mug was not taken from his room and replaced as if it was cleaned, that's unfortunately standard practice at hotels. The cleaning people simply wipe the glasses/mugs instead of taking and running them in a hotel dishwasher. For this, I always avoid using "reusable" cups/glasses in hotels.

The location was about 1 3/4 miles north of the airport terminal. Parking is free. A couple of eating establishments are in walking distance, but I didn't try any of them. The hotel is convenient by car to Downtown Providence and Cranston.

Overall, I though it was fine.

We were looking for a hotel to stay at for the Labor Day weekend. We planned on visiting Providence for WaterFire, and then taking day trips to Newport and Cape Cod. The hotels in Providence were expensive so we decided to find a hotel outside of Providence. We used Priceline's Name Your Own Price to find a hotel near Providence and was able to get this hotel for a very very good price!

We didn't have much expectations for the hotel, even though it had 3 stars. When we arrived, we were checked in promptly, the hotel room was a bit small but very cozy and clean, and there was even a microwave in the room. Each room has a small balcony with a small table and chairs. They had free high speed internet, which was awesome because the connection was extremely fast! The pool is kind of small and pretty shallow, but it was relaxing and 1 side of the pool area was all glass so you could see outside to the yard.

The hotel was also a very very short drive to Providence, which was extremely convenient. It's also close to the airport but I didn't hear any planes at all during our stay. The staff was very helpful - the hairdryer broke the morning of our 2nd day there. We notified the front desk and by the time we got back that night, it was fixed.

Overall, this hotel was a great bargain and I would recommend it to families that don't want to spend too much money on a hotel but still want something comfortable and convenient.
