What a gem in such a small town. They have a ton of beers on tap. The food portions were huge. I little on the high side but typical for this area. Everyone in my party was happy with our meals. will return when I'm in the area again.

Pizza is still hard to beat! Great food and beer selection. Can't go wrong with the variety of choices!!! Staff are friendly enough and attentive...

I'll start out by saying I haven't been here in a while. The reason: food is not worth it because it is not served properly. If you decide to go, don't order a pasta dish if you expect it to be served at the proper temperature. Even after sending it back to the kitchen, it was returned to me the same temperature that caused me to send it back in the first place. You may luck out with salads, pizza and burgers.

Large in every aspect from the parking lot, number of patrons, menu items, to the number of beers on tap. A confusing collection of entry points, rooms and stairways awaits the uninitiated traveler. Once you are seated though, the fun begins.

They boast of 69 different beers on tap with a couple of beer specials each day. They also have a number of beer related events such as Keg Day. Just as their beer menu is vast, so is the size of the food portions. Well at least the ones I noticed. The small pizzas were enough for 2 normal sized meals and the sandwiches came with more fries than a person should consume in a single day. But then again, they don’t claim to be a “good for you / we are better than you” type of place. Service is good and the first few drinks will come quickly. If you are there for the long haul, then the service slows down to a reasonable pace.

Good number of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks are available although this is mostly a beer place.

I’ve heard that the crowds come during special events such as Trivia night, Happy Hour etc. and that at times the place can be empty. Timing is everything if you are going for a quiet date or with a group friends for a night out.

Friday-night dinner with friends always begins with the "where." Recently, we agreed on the Mews, where we had not been for some time. We agreed to go "early" in hopes of immediate seating and a bit less chaos. We did score a booth at 5:30; when we left about 6:45 the waiting line was long. We always have found the Mews to be less-than-desireable for conversation, and nothing has changed. The crowds and the bar noise and the high ceiling combine to make social interaction challenging. We are not beer drinkers, so the impressive choices don't matter to us. The menu is equally long, and there are nightly specials. The food is good; we think it is overpriced. Two of us chose burgers with sweet potato fries. Adjustments to the menu were not a problem, but one burger was a tad over-cooked and the other a bit more rare than anticipated. The Rad Mac & Cheese, served in a little cast-iron skillet, was tasty -- but $11?! We agreed that given the increasing number of dining choices in Wakefield, the Mews will be low on our list.
