Family ties has a very comfortable atmosphere with good New England food! The wait staff are very nice and very accommodating! The fried scallops were ok, but the fried clams were very good! There's always enough to eat, you won't go home hungry! I can't wait to go there again!!

We have had breakfast at Family Ties which is always quick, good and reasonably priced. We decided to try it out on a weekend night and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was for the price. The little necks we had for our appetizer was the best we've ever had. The special drink of the night came with a glass of ice on the side, a great idea. Our entrees and dessert were delicious. There was a live band in the room next to ours which made the occasion even more special. The service was excellent.

We ordered the Portugese soup. It had no taste, so bland. I ate some of it because I was very hungry and cold. My friend had two spoonfuls and pushed it away. They were very full bowls, and when the waitress came by she just asked if my friend was finished. A very full bowl obvious it wasn't touched but, she didn't even ask if there was a problem. We ordered the portuguese steak. It was so tough it couldn't be chewed and the sauce was way too strong. Once again the waitress just asked if we were finished as she picked up full, nearly untouched plates. We did however tell her how lousy the soup and steak were and she replied she had no complaints about the soup and some people like the steak tough.!

Family ties is an awesome place to relax with fam and friends and eat "home cooked" food away from home. Breakfast is great but their seafood is fine and as good as what you buy on the cape.

Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot. Home made dishes for all pallets. A lovely option that won't break your budget.
