This is a great place to enjoy a relaxing post-beach meal - right on the water, very chill.

Agree that it's a little on the pricy side, but really - what do you expect for a place like this? Location, location, location!

Husband got fish & chips and enjoyed very much - breading wasn't too heavy like you find in some places; fries were awesome.

I got the grilled chicken sandwich which, for a seafood place, was actually pretty decent. I'll also second the awesome fries.

The three stars is for my sister's mussels. She said the taste and flavor were great, but that there was sand in every one. Was very sad as she was visiting from out of state and was in search of a great mussel dish - this wasn't it. We're not picky eaters at all, but the thought of eating gritty sand still gives me the willies.

A great spot for lunch or dinner! We enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Everything was extremly fresh! Reasonable prices, and casual atmosphere make for a great post beach meal!

It's hard to beat Jim's for breakfast, given the outdoor location watching trawlers, pleasure craft, and the ferries go by. It's real Rhode Island.. At lunch and dinner most everything is fried ond nothing special EXCEPT it's BYOB, which can cut a bill considerably.

Our experience at Jim's Dock was good. Food was delivered hot and well prepared - my tuna was a solid medium rare as requested. It is a local place that is happy with itself. Its unpretentious in decor and menu. Our evening was quite enjoable and we would readily go there again. As mentioned in other reviews it is BYOB

Nice local restaurant with interesting harbor view. Have been there several times, and would avoid the long waits at dinner (BYOB, OK food) and go for breakfast. Decent omelets and regular breakfast stuff; friendly staff; no waits. Comfortable and reliable, and while I would not journey there from far away expecting a gourmet treat, when you are vacationing locally, it's a great place to stop and eat and enjoy watching the Block Island boat come and go. No one rushes you.
