Description: Siena offers authentic Tuscan cuisine in a warm, inviting and lively atmosphere. Enjoy casually elegant dining with menu selections including a wide variety of grilled steaks, seafoods, and veal entrees along with numerous signature pasta & saute dishes. Siena- Smithifield compliments the trusted menu from the original Siena Restaurant, located on Federal Hill, with many of the warm touches and great food found in kitchens and winebars all over Italy.

We used to go to Siena almost every other week in the winter. They have a gnocchi to die for in the winter that is presented in a butter cream sauce with butternut squash, cranberries, and pumpkin seeds. It is Ah-ma-zing! In the summer they discontinue it, which is a crying shame. Their appetizer meatball is phenomenal, but those are the only 2 items we thoroughly enjoy. It doesnt constitute us to return in the summer. So in the winter I absolutely recommend this restaurant but not in the summer. Be prepared though, the service is GOD AWFUL. Slow and unattentive. We recieved our meal and that was the last time we saw our server for the next 30 minutes. Me and my boyfriend on two seperate occasions have sat at our table with our drinks empty for at least 25 minutes. So BEWARE when ordering. We now know to make our drinks last, as there is no way in hell you will get a second one.

Very attractive interior, nice bar, good appetizer menu which is all I've had here. I am planning on dinner in the near future but have been to the bar on several occasions and not disappointed.

Have visited here twice, both times on a weekend night. Sat at a table in the smaller room in the back first visit, (quieter there), and at the bar second time. Loved the fried spaghetti on the bar! Who knew you could fry up spaghetti and turn it into a crunchy salted snack?
Menu is expansive. I can only comment on a couple appetizers, however, as I opted to have those as my meal. Caprese salad was delicious! Hard to find good tomatoes at this time of year, but they were wonderful!
Friend had the swordfish, enjoyed it very much.
Service was attentive, even though the restaurant was very busy!
Will surely return.

We went to Siena for the first time tonight, and do not know why we waited so long! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Pollo del Estate and my husband had the pork chop. Both were done to perfection and accompanied by delicious vegetables. We added a serving for 2 of asparagus which was also great. Our server was Amy who was friendly, attentive when we needed her to be, and just delightful. The atmosphere is comfortable with good acoustics, so that the noise level is not intrusive. The meals were reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant, and the drinks were priced as expected. The chocolate bread pudding with gelato was superb. I recently gave a very negative review to The Little Inn in Johnston, and we were appalled to realize that we paid the same amount there for awful food and terrible unfriendly service, as we did tonight for our wonderful meal and experience. Live and learn.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with friends. Food was excellent and a good wine list. Serving staff exceptional and very helpful. Great atmosphere ... We spent over 2 hours enjoying the food and wine while the staff were attentive without being pesky. Very helpful with the menu and took time to chat about the wine. Very enjoyable evening.
