“Retro classic with good food”
Reviewed August 5, 2011

A vintage "streamliner" diner, lovingly restored, with a menu to match. Service was very friendly. We were advised by an exiting patron to select from their specials, so we tried omelettes with corned beef hash and linguica hash, respectively. Both were huge and very good, and the home fries were fantastic.

“Good, not great”
Reviewed August 21, 2009

The food was adequate and the coffee weak. What makes this place so popular is the building which is of a bygone period.

“Good food, rude waitress.”
Reviewed November 15, 2008

If you don't mind being harrassed while you try to rapidly gulf down your breakfast, this is the place to be.

30 seconds after being handed our menu, a rude red-headed waitress wanted to take our order, then actually rolled her eyes and stomped off when we explained we hadn't even had a chance to look yet. She returned about a minute later, but then it took her quite a while to get some cream for the coffee.

The food was typical Sunday morning breakfast (hashbrowns are inconsistent --either burnt crispy or psuedo-cooked) but they do offer some tasty options for french toast, omlettes, and pancakes.

It gets busy there, we understand that. But we hadn't even finished our coffee when another waitress came to clear our table. Okay, we get the hint. We were still sipping coffee when she returned almost immediately with the bill.

And literally 30 seconds after we got the bill, the "manager" came over to say that they needed the table, there were people waiting, and "apologized" explaining that it was time for us to go.

As we were leaving, not only were there empty chairs, but also a couple sitting and playing cards!

We've been there several times, and never had this experience before. So while I'd like to say that the food was good--it was not good enough to want to come back after being rushed out the door following gobbling down breakfast. The experience left me with indegestion and a bad taste in my mouth.
