“Worth a stop”
Reviewed December 11, 2010

As we were driving down Rte 102 Gators caught our eye and we popped in for lunch. The interior is typlical pub /sports bar with a large bar, good sized dining area ,
plenty of televisons and a plethora of local and pro memorabalia on the walls. We were seated prompt;y in a booth in the dining area. A bowl of popcorn came right out and we were offered a complimeentary soupf the day (sausage macaroni). As it was a toasty 28 dregrees outside I availled myself to the soup. It was exteremly hearty and extremely hot, though somewhat bland, it did hit the spot.

Our server was pleasant and attentaive throughout. My lovely eldest started with a cup of their "spicy chili". This was served with a side of warmed tortilla chips. The chli had a beef /bean base and was temperature hot, but failed to illuminate any lights on the scoville scale. It has a somewhat vinegary taste but all in all was good. It was a disappointment in the lack of "heat".

I had their buffalo bleu burger with fies. The burger was cooked to medium as ordered and was large. With the weather as described the covering of buffalo sauce with bleu cheese was perfec for the day. This was a very good burger and the fries were sunstantial in mumber. The eldest had grilled chicken w/ a double order of veggies. The chicken was a typical serving size and not over cooked as is often the case. She had both steamed broccoli and a medley mix. The broccoli ws not done to mush and the snow pea, carrot zucchini mix was aldente.

The bill with a coffee, diet coke and tax was $25 and change. We would not hesitate to stop here again and can only imagine the place would be hopping when the Pats or Sox are on.

Fantastic steak tips, a fun, sports-bar like environment, and awesome prices. Not recommended for a family or someone who doesn't like crowds and noise.

I went to Gator's Pub with my family. What a pleasant surprise!!!
My kids loved to watch the volleyball games, while i loved watching the Sox's on the high def widescreen tv. The food was great and our waitperson was just as great. I highly recommend it. Jack Summerville.
