My wife and I come here about once a month during the off-season (October to May). The middle of the week is the best time to visit Arturo Joe's. We delayed our anniversary dinner until the weekend. Although Parents Weekend at the local university was not the best time to visit this restaurant. We waited an hour for our table, but it is always worth the wait. I am sure it would have been less if we had called for reservations. The volume of people slowed down service a bit and elevated the noise level to a moderate roar. The fireplace was lit in the back room adding some ambiance and taking a little of the chill off the evening.
Easy to find on Point Judith Rd at Mariner Square, plenty of parking, good service, very good and reasonably priced food. Dark wood interior with large pictures if Narragansett in the old days. Booth and table seating are available. Arturo Joe's offers an extensive menu and we really enjoyed our meals. Portions were large enough to take some home. Don't be surprised when your server arrives with a cigar box at the end of the meal, the bill is inside. There is a cigar lounge/bar there as well with a similar menu. The bar ventilation is isolated from the restaurant air system so as not to impede your dining pleasure.
