From reading the other reviews sounds like there might be a big difference between staying in the inn and staying in the motel annex. We stayed only one night as we were just passing through. The Inn caught my eye as we drove by, and it looked much nicer than any of the tiny old beach motels we saw. We got one of the inn best rooms on the second floor, facing the ocean with a balcony. I really like the room. Old but nice. it was a beautiful night so we enjoyed both a before and after dinner drink on our balcony. The restaurant on the first floor "Turtle Soup" had a great menu and outside dining. We sat in Adirondack chairs on the front lawn and had drinks & appetizers. It was great to watch the people walk by. If you were staying in Narragansett I think the location is fine.
The front desk clerk could use some happy pills. I would expect a better personality at an inn.
