Can be very loud when it gets full... but there's a deck and a lawn with furniture, so one can escape the loud interior. I particularly like enjoying a libation in the bar, looking out across the bay as the Full Moon rises over the ocean... but that's once a month. ;-)

Thank awild

We ate here on a cold night in late October. The restaurant was warm and the service was good. i had a difficult time rating this restaurant. it is slightly above average so a 3.5 is probably more accurate. i gave it a 4 because the scallop appetizer was delicious. the rest of the food was not so memorable, not bad, just not great.

My nephew, the college student, selected this restaurant because parents of his roommates had gone to Turtle Soup and enjoyed the meals, so he figured it'd be the right place for Granny and Auntie. We were all happy with the quality of our meals, from nephew's duck breast cooked medium rare as ordered to my lobster ravioli with a rich vodka pink sauce (it was more red and rich than pink and delicate but still delicious) to Granny's crab cakes with chipotle aioli. The homemade bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar dipping sauce was a nice accompaniment. The desserts were rich and chocolatey and sweet. We were there when the restaurant was very quiet (it's definitely the quiet season), which lead to a more relaxed approach to service, but our waiter was friendly, mostly attentive, and knowledgeable about the food. We lingered over the meal and never felt rushed. Other customers also seemed to lingering over their meals while deep in conversation, so I'd recommend this place when you want to enjoy your time with companions. One strange comment came when we asked about the availability of espresso and ice cream and the waiter told us the hotel, in which the restaurant is located, allotted the restaurant so little space there was no room for a freezer or an espresso machine. The openness of the comment led me to believe there are management issues that unfortunately boil over into public view occasionally. One big downside was cleanliness. The public spaces, namely the entrance to the restaurant and the restrooms off this lobby area, were not overly clean. I had no complaints about the restaurant's dining room, but the entrance to the dining room and the ladies' room could use a really good application of cleanser and furniture polish.

We visited the Turtle Soup after hearing rave reviews. We went for a quick bite to eat before we went to do a little sightseeing. The bar had fruit flies and I understand these are difficult to get rid of but there were many.

The bartender was very friendly and attentive. We decided to get the calamari and it was bland. The breading wasn't seasoned and the marinara sauce was just okay. The saving grace on the dish was honestly the peppers, we used them to flavor the calamari.

We would probably not return for a full meal after the disappointing calamari. The prices were a little high to chance getting something we didn't really enjoy.

The views are amazing! You are right across the street from the water and we were able to watch the sunset from the bar. There is some outdoor seating as well.

Parking is on the street. The entire parking lot is used for the hotel next door. We went early so it wasn't an issue but could be at night.
