“A Hideaway beach”

Salty Brine State Beach
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Right behind George's of Galilee is a little beach named for a much-beloved locally-known radio and TV broadcaster who lived in the area. It is a sweet little beach, where you can sit on the dunes, swim, or just take in the view of the incoming/outgoing boats, Ferries and ships.

I don't know why this beach is always so dirty. Nice to watch the boats though and there is an excellent little chowder and food place attached to the new pavilion overlooking the rocks and water. That's very nice and reasonable with good chowder!

Nice small beach in the village of Galilee. Facilities are maintained often and adequately. Calm surf, very limited parking, picturesque views.

The newly completed renovations have also been designed for those who have disabilities. My daughter who is in a wheelchair enjoys visiting the beach just to sit on the new broadwallk. The snack bar is excellent with godd food and great pricing. The restrooms and showers are all clean and state of the art. My wife and I try to go there at least once a week.
