Riptides
Price range: $3 - $12
Cuisines: American
Description: Riptides is a local favorite. We feature amazing breakfast selections, like the "SOB"",Eggs Florentine,"the Bo and Luke Duke" or "the Cousin Kando". (you will have to make the trip to see what they are all about) Dine on the deck or indoors. For lunch enjoy a burger, specialty sandwich or take one of our box lunches to the beach. We have dinner specials nightly prepared by our fantastic chefs. And baked goods that are out of this world. So if you are looking to relax, grab a bottle of your favorite wine or beer and head down to Riptides.

“New Favorite Breakfast Place!”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Years ago, we had a favorite breakfast spot in Narragansett; after several moves, it is no longer in business. We had heard that one of the chefs worked at Riptides - this isn't the case any longer but it seems that the eclectic breakfast menu still has his influences.

Two of my favorite items are on the Riptides menu - HUGE pancakes - the size of a dinner plate with fruit or choc chips mixed in the batter. These can be ordered as a stack of three or a singly. My other item was the breakfast burrito - delicious.

There are lots of interesting items to pick from - basic fare, omelettes, Texas French toast, bisquits & gravy . . . sit inside the cozy restaurant or on the deck. Also noticed that they had grab and go items and they offer box lunches for the beach.

“Awesome breakfast on the porch”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

Just left Riptides, a hidden gem in Narragansett. Creative menu, had a spectacular roasted veggie omelet, with sourdough toast. Dani was our waitress she was very attentive, funny and she is only there weekends. Its our fifth time there, great breakfast, extensive menu, nice bakery products as well. SIt outside on the front porch, nice breeze and watch the beach people. Not overpriced, never rushed, and good food.

“Laid Back Delight”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

This is a wonderful place for locals who aren't expecting alot of flash or fancy shmancy stuff. The fish tacos I had were scrumptious and I loved the local, laid back feeling of this little spot in Narragansett. It seems like popularity of the place has picked up here since I last visited last summer. The one waitress for about 8 tables was working her derierre off! They treated my 2 year old daughter with great care. I look forward to see what the high season will bring and it's nice to have another dining option in Narragansett that is affordable and fresh food that those that aren't on a vacation budget can enjoy.
