“Great place for large groups”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

I have been here once in a small group (4) and more than once in large groups (10 or so). The place is a lot of fun in large groups, especially with bar seating and the ability to keep ordering sharable pizzas and other tapas-style dishes. The staff has been friendly and attentive - keeping all the various drink orders straight!

“Chef Kevin is a gem”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We have been here in summer sitting outside on the patio eating mussels and stuffies and drinking beer as well as in winter and the food and service are perfect. Loved the eggplant/mozzarella frito, the chowder with pancetta and the short rib especially. We also went to Chef Kevin's cooking demonstration where he paired three different local beers with small plates. A very fun evening.

“Best Place in Town!!!!”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

My husband and i have been coming to Trio since it's beginning. It seems to get better all the time. It is part of a restaurant group so the pricing I am sure comes down from above. The drinks are a bit high priced but if you frequent Providence restaurants you are not surprised. Problem is most of "US" locals choose not to be in Providence. The selections are great and could be a bit more seasonal but the specials usually are. The staff are all very well trained and very friendly. If you happen to stop at the bar ask for Jessica. She is the best. So glad Trio was spared mostly by the hurricane. Power outage was minor as in comparison to my beloved Coast Guard House.
