Heading to 'Gansett' beach always brings up visions of warm fine sand, gentle waves and family friendly beach! This beach is an all time favorite when in Southern Rhode Island!

We spent the late afternoon kicking around on Narragansett Beach in late September. We were practically the only ones there so we brought our dog and walked out to the point. The beach is rocky, which we are not used to being from Maryland, but it was fun to see how the beaches of the North Atlantic are. The water is clean and grounds are very well maintained. Narragansett is a great town to visit.

Not a fan that you have to pay to go on the beach during the summer months, but Narragansett Beach is always a great spot to go. Friends house is right up the street from there, so it's easy to go walk down and relax.

We were here after Labor Day but the facilities were still open and there was no problem parking and no charge to park. On season parking is $20-$25 per day. Beach and facilities were well maintained. Water was crystal clear. We usually travel to New Hampshire and Maine for the beach but would not hesitate to return to Narragansett in the future.

Great beach for kids-gentle rolling waves and surfing is allowed on the right side. We go here every August and love the warm water and boogie boarding!
