“Disappointed”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

We decided to try this restaurant for lunch during Newport restaurant week as we had read favorable reviews about it. We ordered from the pre-fixe menu and ordered an appetizer, entree and dessert. I enjoyed the mussels I had ordered. The tomato soup my husband ordered fell short. Our tenderloin with brandy cream sauce was very tough and the sauce lacked flavor We ordered creme brulee, which was served with a biscotti, and both tasted good. The dining room was attractive and the service was good.

“Incredible service”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

We had the best waitress at this restaurant. She was charming and attentive. The food was terrific especially the French onion soup and mussels. Casual clothing was fine. Jazz music played in the bar area. It was a great experience.

“Superb Clam Chowder”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

We ate at the Atlantic Beach Club for lunch one day. The meal we had was delicious. This place was our first stop on a week long trip to New England and I have to say that we had the clam chowder every place we went and this was by far the BEST clam chowder on the trip!!! I highly recommend it!!!! Wish I could have some right now!!! We also had the lobster rolls and they were ok. You will not be disappointed with the clam chowder - try it!!!!! And not a cup a bowl!!!

“Gorgeous Beach Views, Outdoor Patio Too”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

This place is about two miles from the cruise ship tenders. We took a taxi here and walked back. The outdoor patio area is fantastic, overlooks the beach. I combed the beach for seaglass while my spouse enjoy his own 'sea glass' (bottles of beer). Our lunch was plentiful, big portions (Reuben sandwich and a lobster roll). The 'must-try' clam patties are not a must-try. They're more like big balls of fried dough with small bits of clam. This place was full of locals, everyone knew each other. They were all welcoming and friendly.
