“Little Compton's Best”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

Been visiting this little gem every summer since I was a kid, now I bring my own family. Waitstaff is always friendly and helpful and prices are family-friendly. Seafood is to die for! This last trip had seafood chowder (they make it white and creamy here), lobster roll with fries, husband had seafood platter, kids had chicken pie and grilled cheese. All fresh and delicious. This is the place where the locals eat, but so friendly for we tourists too. Great outdoor seating under umbrella tables with sweet little gift shop at back of deck that they gave us a 10% off coupon for. Bought a great sweatshirt and necklace, and little souvenirs for the kids! Can't wait to try their breakfast!

“needs a deep cleaning”
Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

This is truly a greasy spoon. They rebuilt after a fire about 10 years ago and haven't cleaned since. Staff were friendly but not sure about food hygiene. We tried the seafood chowder and clam cakes. Chowder was OK but nothing special. It could have been hotter. Clamcakes were large but very few clams to be found. Other people had some meals that looked good, but the place was too dirty to give it another try. Cash only, no credit cards.

“Good Restaurant, but Great Gift Shop Behind it called Laughling Lobstah”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

We enjoyed our lunch here. The chicken salad was quite tasty, and we were there when the clock struck noon, which was quite nice, but the best part is the great gift shop behind the restaurant. The gift shop does not take credit cards, only cash or checks. They have very cute and unusual things there and at good prices. I bought a few things there that I love, especially a beautiful necklace. If you eat at the restaurant you get a 10% discount off one item at the gift shop. I cant wait to visit Little Compton and visit this gift shop.

“Expected more”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

We stopped in Little Compton and had lunch here, expecting cozy, quaint, friendly, delicious. Instead we got tired and bland.

I agree with one of the other reviewers who said it should be better. It's food if you're hungry, but certainly not anything to rave about.
