Great for beautiful sea views! Bring your own picnic lunch and something to sit on and lounge the day away. Be sure and take your trash with you as there are no trashcans!

I have fond memories of playing and learning in the tidal pools in Maine as a kid-the highlight of summer vacations. When my grandchildren are in RI this is a favorite spot to explore and have a picnic. Be sure to go at low tide so you can explore the pools of water, and take a local tidepool book with you to ID all the creatures you find (borrow from the library, the Audubon series are great resources).

This is one of the most gorgeous vistas in the Ocean State. Plan on spending a few hours exploring the tidal pools and climbing the rocks along this spectacular coastline. The energy of the ocean is right at your feet. Stop at the East Side Deli in town for a picnic lunch before you head out to experience the natural beauty of this special place.

Truly the most picturesque, movie- worthy, dramatic coastline. We just spent about an hour or so here. Great picnic spot. The views are incredible and you do get that "edge of the world" feel- surrounded by crashing waves, and ocean all around. Its a very rocky coast. Adds to the beauty but climbing can be a little treacherous depending on the tide. We took some breath taking photographs on the rocks with the lighthouse in the background. Bring a jacket.

Jamestown is very small so the ride out to the lighthouse is worth the time. If you go in summer take a picnic lunch and enjoy the views.
