“Good Old Fashion Saloon Food”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

This is a nice stop for lunch or dinner. The menu is limited to the basics, however, the food is ample, served nice and hot and very good tasting. An appetizer of nachos, melted cheese, beans and tomatoes was full of flavor and large enough to serve 4. Our table ordered cheese steak, mixed greens salad and and French dip. The cheese steak sandwich was enough to be split. Fries were served with all the dishes except salad. This is a good stop and worth the trip across the bridge from Newport. The meals, for 4 including soft drinks, came to $39. A good value.

“Local Pub”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

The Jametown Tavern is a local pub and hang-out for regulars near the village. Nothing fancy - just a friendly bar - with pub food.

A good local restaurant with reasonable prices and solid quality. The atomisphere is friendly. Had beer battered fish and chips that was fresh with generous portions.

Great atmosphere, favorite among locals. Great roadhouse food, reasonably priced. We're there 1-2x per week.

“Large servings and good prices”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Stopped in here as our first eating stop in Jamestown. Very friendly waitress and bartender. Gave us good ideas on what to see in the Jamestown area. My wife and I both had a bowl of their Portuguese chili. Made with chorizo and Portuguese sausage instead of beef. The serving was so large that we had our waitress package up the burger we were going to split (also large).
A place that the locals frequent, but also friendly to tourists.
