“Heard the Chicken Escarole was Great”
Reviewed September 22, 2011

Macera's, is a family/couple oriented restaurant, on the small side, and, decorated with a homey feel, which is very relaxing. We started with the Chicken Escarole soup, and it was excellent, (should have taken a gallon home), for dinner we had their Steak, and, penne, the steak was covered with portabello mushroom slices, and the spices were very flavorful. We were very pleased with the wait staff, friendly, and, polite. Macera's, is a very Nice place to visit, and, have recommended it to other family members, for a very good dinner, laid back, with good food, the menu is very good, portions good, and, the prices are average. Next time we visit there, will definitely have to get some Chicken Escarole soup to take home.

“Lovely, affordable Italian restaurant”
Reviewed September 7, 2011

Came here for lunch after a trip to the Culinary Museum at Johnson & Wales. Best soup ever (chicken and escarole). Had lasagne -- not my particular favorite, but my husband loved it, and he is not a lasagne lover (very meaty, not too much cheese. Lovely decor (patriotic them for 9/11). Friend had chicken parm, and pasta, very good. Less than $9.99 each. Good price, nice place. excellent food. Service was.. adequate but was able to overlook due to other qualities.

“Soup of the Day!”
Reviewed February 17, 2011

Here's a tip, buy the soup, keep it handy. When you work, and/or have sick children feed them the soup! My daughter likes this soup as much as mine and her grandmother's soup with escarole!

“unsatisfied customer for take out soup”
Reviewed January 23, 2011

Hi today my husband went to buy soup and we always take our container and for the 2nd time now he has been charged 2 different prices. He also never gets our container back. Today he asked for soup hot again there was none and got it cold and questioned the woman about our container again she said take this one and he didn't want it because it didn't have a handle like ours. why is it there has been an issue when he goes???? now we have lost 2 nice containers with handles and he said he'll never go back again. so now you have also lost a customer. all because of the container and pricing. today it was 15.00 last month it was 18.95 with the container not sure why so so expensive. I would appreciate some response it you could. Thanks for reading.
