“Classy”

Elevates the dining experience and may be the most expensive restaurant in Cranston, but you get what you pay for. Worth it for special occasions

“Chapel Grill lunch - great food, but slow service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

I was in Chapel Grill for a business lunch with a large group. Overall expression: a very good place for a leisurely upscale lunch, but not if you are short of either time or money.

It was my first time there. The food was excellent. As a group, we ordered most of the menu, and everybody liked what they had. There is a good selection of salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees, most rather interesting, like duck confit pizza. I ordered lamb done medium-rare, and it was very good, but medium rather than medium-rare. The portions are European-sized: adequate for an average appetite, but not so large that you take half of your lunch home. Prices are in line with the quality of the food. The only drawback was long waiting for the checks: it took nearly 30 min for the whole group to get checks and pay. To be fair, there were about 20 of us, and we paid individually, but most people paid cash. I often attend large group lunches, and being in and out in under an hour is usually not a problem. Here lunch took an hour and a half.

“Lunch was a pleasure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

I had been to Chapel Grille before for dinner and was not that impressed. I thought the prices were a little steep for what you received. So I was a little skeptical when I heard they were opening for lunch. I decided to try it one afternoon I had at always thought the atmosphere was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised the service was excellent the prices were reasonable. I had the crabcake burger it was not the best crabcake ever but it was definitely tasty and for the price it appeared to be fresh. The banquettes are comfortable and you can see across the room. I would definitely return for lunch. This is not an atmosphere for children I would not recommend bringing kids.

“It' Come a Long Way”

Dined here when it first opened - Bad experience with wait staff and food. This time around our waiter Anthony was top notch. Food was excellent- I ordered the seafood salad and the fish special Striped Bass - both were excellent. Only bad thing was the men's room was a little dirty. Will definitely return.

“A must for anyone looking for an outstanding Rhode Island dining experience.”

I visited the Chapel Grille on Valentine's Day after making last minute online reservation. Arrived to be greeted by the friendly valet staff. The handsome stone building once housed a chapel and has been thoroughly remodeled. I found the food delicious and the atmosphere classy. Will definately return in near future.
