“Fascinating B&B Hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2014

Warren & Diane Poehler make every guest feel special, with genuine interest in what they would like to do while guests in their area. Their own international experience in many countries means they share interesting vignettes for those who would like to linger over a scrumptious breakfast.

Room Tip: My favorite of the five rooms is the "Blithewold"

Read reviews about the Inn and decided upon booking there for the weekend. Very happy I did. What a wonderful B & B, gracious hosts, delicious, exquisite breakfasts and just the "little" things that make this I'm sure the best B &B in Bristol. Homemade chocolate chip cookies in the room, natural soaps in the bathroom, cordials available in the sitting room to name just a few. And, it that was not enough, these wonderful innkeepers, Diane and Warren apparently are very well liked in the small warm community as a few of the stores offered a discount for staying there. This was my first trip to Bristol but not my last. Wonderful town, as is Newport, but cozier and warmer. May was perfect as it was not too busy and restaurant seating was open. Thank you Diane & Warren for a fun weekend!

Room Tip: We stayed in upstairs teddy bear room. Beautiful bathroom and comfortable sleeping accommodations.

My wife and I loved our one night stay at the Williams Grant Inn. Our room was very comfortable as was the public sitting room on the second floor. Diane was a very gracious hostess, and so was Indy Rose, the sweet, resident, inn dog. The Inn is just a short walk to town where he had a great dinner at Roberto's. It is just a short drive to the East Bay Bike Path and Colt State Park. We will certainly return.

We don't usually stay in a B&B, but this was a special on Living Social so we took the chance. Now know why people do this. This is run like a dream. The owners should give lessons on how to run an Inn. Their knowledge of the surrounding area was so helpful. The breakfasts were outstanding. Warren & Diane you are the best! We are telling our friends about the Williams Grant Inn. Thanks

We thought we had stepped into a Norman Rockwell painting, when we arrived in Bristol, starting with this wonderful inn. We were warmly greeted by Diane, given a tour of the inn and were shown to our room…fresh made chocolate cookies were a great touch! The rooms are not large, but are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the kitchen, which added to the warmth and home-like feel of our stay. We were there for two meals, each different and equally good, (Warren makes the BEST muffins)…sure wish we could have sampled one more breakfast. The location is just perfect, about two blocks from the downtown area…and what a special town it is. There are interesting shops, a variety of restaurants, beautiful walks by the water and well-preserved historic homes…something to see at every corner. We left trying to figure out when we could return to Bristol and the William’s Grant Inn.
