We stayed one night at William's Grant Inn while college visiting (at Williams Rogers University). Our room (Middleburg) was cozy and very comfortable (with an extra cot for our daughter), and the 2nd floor parlor was a nice place to hang out and read, etc. Dianne and Warren are gracious and friendly hosts. Little touches like liqueurs at night, and fresh baked cookies in the room were nice. The private bathroom was nothing special, but perfectly adequate. Bristol itself is an absolutely lovely town, well worth a visit. The Inn is perfectly located for walking around.

Room Tip: We were on second floor in Middleburg room. Very pleased with it.

We stayed at William's Grant Inn for one night in July 2013 in the Middleburg Room. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Diane and Warren were wonderful hosts and gave us great suggestions on dining and things to do. The Inn's location is great. Restaurants, shops, and the gorgeous waterfront are an easy 5-10 minute walk away, and Blithewold only a few minutes drive. Our only regret is that our stay was limited to one night. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were extremely happy with the Middleburg Room. It overlooked the front of the inn and High Stree...

Our stay was short but the setting and service was over the top. The room was beautiful, clean and well taken care of. The Inn is located within walking distance to all the wonderful sites in Bristol. William's Grant is a true gem.

We loved our visit to Bristol, RI. Warren and Diane are excellent hosts/inn-keepers. Full of trivia and recommendations. They gave us a coupon book to visit local stores which I thought was a great touch. Breakfast was huge and excellent. We didn't have to eat lunch both days because breakfast kept us going.
The inn itself has 5 rooms. Old (historical) but updated. There is a sitting room with TV, books and games (and even some liquors) for guests. We stayed in the Sturbridge room. I worried this would be very loud since right by the front door, however we had no problem. B&B guests tend not to be party animal types in my experience.
There were nice little touches such as fresh baked cookies in our room along with a tea pot and tea.
I was especially appreciative that they were so accommodating when I needed to change my reservation date several times. This showed true customer service.
I would highly recommend a visit to Bristol and a stay at the William's Grant Inn.

Room Tip: Sturbridge room is just left of the front door. first floor.

Innkeepers are very accommodating. The inn itself is charming and old, but kept up-to-date. This was our second visit there; we'd been there on a visit one year ago, and for the next visit there was just no question as to where we'd stay.

Bristol itself is a great destination. A lot of the kinds of attractions that bring people to Newport, yet unlike Newport it's a real town, not just a tourist mecca.

Having never stayed in the Bristol area we were pleasantly surprised with the Inn and the town as well. Diane & Warren couldn't have been better hosts and the breakfast was the best we have ever experienced at a B&B. Our package included a discount for one of several local restaurants and we chose to go to Roberto's. The meal was excellent and they had a nice selection of house wines as well. We were in the Garden room at the Inn and it was a nice accommodation with a fairly large bath with shower enclosure. Since the weather was a bit cool we didn't take advantage of the yard of the Inn or walk around the town too much. We did sit in the guest parlor in the evening and spoke with a nice couple from the Syracuse area.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor tend to be a little quieter.

April anniversary and we wanted to get away to a nice place. This far exceeded our expectations. Diane & Warren were so welcoming, so knowledgeable of the area and surrounding that they had recommendations for places no matter what you were looking for. Bristol has some great restaurants and they both had great suggestions for all type of food types. Our package for a 3 night stay included 2 dinner vouchers at a selection of multiple eating venues. It was hard to pick as all sounded really good. The two we picked also went beyond what we expected in a meal- great service and food.
Warren cooks the best breakfasts- too much food for me (I am a small breakfast eater but think I did some justice to theirs). Something different each morning, but if you don't want what is the main item, just ask for something different and if it's possible they will make it for you. Fresh fruit, many juices, coffee, tea and the main course. Really what more can you ask for - great food, friendly company and unending coffee/tea.
Our room was the Sturbridge - left coming in the front door. It was quiet and very peaceful. A taste of history staying ihere. Didn't even know anyone was upstairs in the gathering room. So not only wasn't it just a bedroom over us- it was where all could gather- watch TV, have an included with the room water, soda and some very nice after dinner liquors.
Going back- oh yes - another season and see Bristol in a whole new light. Thank you Diane & Warren!
Audrey & Howard W

Room Tip: I think going back I would try the Garden room - different look feel than what we had.
