“Just Not Like It Used To Be”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

We eat at different restaurants every Sunday after church. Red Lobster used to one of our favorites, but not after yesterday. The music was so loud that we had to literally shout our order to our server and we had to shout to each other to have a conversation. We asked for the "music" to be lowered, but if it was, we did not perceive it. My husband ordered a favorite of his, fried catfish and I ordered fried shrimp with French Fries. We both ordered a salad. My blue cheese dressing on the side tasted like ranch with a lump of something in it. Not at all like blue cheese should taste. It was in a cup that was slopped into the bowl and it dribbled down the sides of the cups in both of our salads making for a very messy dressing application. My husband's fish was mostly breading and he was quite disappointed. My fries were tasteless and resembled wood in appearance. He ordered hot tea at $2.30 a cup and, when he got 1/3 of the way through drinking it, a big dirty spot of caked on crud became visible on the inside side of the cup! He pushed it aside, very turned off. At the end of the meal, we showed the cup to the waitress and she asked if he wanted another cup but, when he declined, she never offered to take it off the bill. I had to ask her to do that. With so many restaurants in the area, we are not likely to try this one again for a long, long time.

“Had better...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

Having had dinner at the Red Lobster in Hanover, I was expecting the same quality of food and service. We were definitely disappointed at this Red Lobster. They did not have the crab cakes we wanted, the service was slow, and the food was mediocre. Given there are so many other restaurants in the area, we will not visit this one again.

I love their coconut shrimp and pina colada dipping sauce. They also have awesome biscuits and salads.

“Good, but it kinda all tastes the same.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

Ok... nobody can touch Red Lobsters CHEESE BISCUITS... they are addictive. The rest is up for debate. The food there tastes pretty good, but if you were to wear a blindfold you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between one entree from another. Do they use the same sauces and seasonings on everything? Again... it's not bad, but it would be nice to have more of a variety of flavors.

“Great service and food”

We are never disappointed here. The cheese biscuits, mojitos, coconut shrimp are outstanding and the other dishes are equally good. Friendly, attentive staff, good location, good value and atmosphere. We return often.
