We do not often eat out. Our four year old grandson usually eats with us and my daughter and my wife insist he eats home cooking. This evening we got a night out. We had a twenty five dollar gift card for Olive Garden so we decided to there. It was the perfect evening. We got a parking spot at the front door (rare). It was about 7:30 PM, We only waited about five minutes and we were seated, again rare. Our waiter Ken approached us. Immediately was impressed with him. He explained about a special on the menu. He provided a sample for a red zinfindel whcih we both declined. We gave him our order. He brought our the salad and bread sticks. He also brought second bowl of salad. Sometime later Ken approached us and explained that we had been waiting one half hour. He would speak to the manager about this. Shortly thereafter the jay the Manager came to our table and apologized and handed us a $10 gift card. The special was two meals for twenty-five dollars. There are several selections on the menu. Both persons have the choice of endless salad or soup both with breadsticks. several entrees to choose from. and a desert. We both selected salad, I had spagetti and meat balls and my wife had Ziti. We each had a small desert which we both enjoyed. I have eaten at Olive Garden several times and have never been disappointed but this time It seemed better. This time I took special notice to the wait staff. It just seemed that everyone I observed was professional and attentive. Our waiter, Ron could work in any exclusive restrauant and receive compliments. It just seemed he anticipated what we were thinking and addressed it. Their was "no joking around no "what will ya have hun" . If there were any poor attitudes I did not see them. In the many the restrauants we have eaten in our 43 years. This is one of the better experiences.
