My Girlfriends and I went out for a light dinner and drinks. ViVA's Tapas Lounge offered a great atomosphere, an acoustic guitarist and excellent service. I highly recommend the sputino rolls & mojito-ritas for something different and super tasty.

I went back to Viva with a good coupon and still it didn't feel like a good value. The food quality just isn't there and the portions are skimpy. The food was cold and the fish was overcooked and dried. This place had such potential... why would they screw it up with bad food? For the price, they could give you something better AND get continued customer loyalty. We just won't return.

My friend and I recently took a bus trip to the outlets in Reading. Last year we tried Viva and came back to the bus raving about the food. We decided to try it again, despite the reviews posted here. We ordered the bread with olive oil for an appetizer, the lobster bisque soup which came with the dinner and the chicken margherita. The bread was delicious, and the soup as well ( a cup) but the dinner was disappointing. It was not as hot as it could have been, and while the chicken which had a layer of cheese, sundried tomatoes was good, the pasta had no taste except oil. We both pushed the pasta to the side and ate the chicken. ( 2 medium size pieces) Our waitress was very personable and seemed efficient. She gave us a "survey" to complete and indicated if we completed it the manager would stop by. We both indicated on the survey that the entreee was "bland" but praised the soup. We waited for probably 5-10 minutes and then left, without seeing the manager. Once on the bus we heard several people commented they had visited the restaurant for lunch, had soup, sandwhiches or salads. Did not seem anyone had dinner meal there. Those who went made positive comments. My guess is that it is an ok place for lunch or a light meal but falls flat on the dinner meal. We would probably go again only because it is convienient, the atmosphere was nice, but we would order lunch vs dinner...

The recent merger of Tuscani and Viva is obviously NOT going well! Our group for my birthday dinner was completely let down by the slow kitchen, unsupportive staff, patronizing floor manager and numerous food disasters and value problems. The excuses presented to us for the wait for appetizers and lack of ways to smooth over their problems are inexcusable. TRAINING is the key to a successful staff, from the greeters, to the servers to the kitchen crew, and we felt like guinea pigs caught up in their fiasco! I could go on, but what's the point...avoid this beautiful facility full of chaos!!!!!

I really wanted to like Viva because the restaurant itself is very nice and the waiters are nice. The food however is extremely overpriced for what you get. The food isn't even as good as something I would prepare out of a box. It's just not good.
