“Good pub fare.”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

We arrived her after a 18 mile hike on the AT. It rained on the 2 mile trip from the trail head, so they could have fed us dog food and we would have been happy. I got the pulled pork, my gf the ribs. From what I saw in Wind Gap, this place was a good choice for some warm food and cold beer.

“Not that good”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

I have eaten here twice. The food is ok. The service is always slow borders on bad. The food truly is expensive for what you get. They either should pick up the pace of the servers, increase the food portions or cut prices, because it is just not worth it. In a bad economy much better choices out there.

“Average food, great prices!”
Reviewed June 7, 2012 via mobile

This is more of a casual place to grab a bite to eat. The menu has changed considerably & it appears to be under new management/ownership. It's not real extravagant decor or food, not that it's any different from before. The prices are great, the service is good & the food is average. The presentation is very basic depending on what is ordered, for example a seafood medley was served in a clam shell bowl while a steak is placed on a plate with a piece of kale. I would definatly stop again if I wanted quick sit down meal, but won't go out of my way.

“An aberration? Hopefully, they go back to good.”
Reviewed June 2, 2012

Never been disappointed by J.R.s, until now. I hope it was an aberration. Usually, the steaks have been well prepared, nicely seasoned and tender. This last time, the steak tasted like it had been boiled and, at least 1/4 of it was inedible gristle and fat. The vegetables have gotten better. They used to mostly soupy squash. They now prepare them much fresher, with more broccoli and cauliflower. Hopefully, they stay the same and they bring back the good steaks and good preparation.
