Decent venue for entertainment. Sound system needs either better operators or work on the system itself. Seating comfortable, with no pillars to block view. Finding a parking spot not always easy - no adjacent lots.

I travel to the Kirby Center often for different shows, and it is a beautiful and very comfortable venue. It's so nice to watch shows in a setting like this rather than a large arena.

Great great show. She was just amazing.
The usher women were wonderful. One of the ladies told me how when this was a movie theater it was her date place. I would guess she was 80.
The building is worth going to just to see. A lovely art deco building that was renovated in the 80s. The facilities were great, nice seating, good restroom access and at this show a very nice bar. My only complaint would be the attention to disruptive show goers. Miss Lauper had to settle the crowd because the security staff seemed hesitant to haul such folks out of the venue.
Again, the women volunteers were so nice and the show and building hit the spot. Thanks for a mostly nice time.

Went for a concert with tickets at a premium price for an "easy listening" performer...not a roudy rock concert. Was shocked to see that they allowed alcohol to be brought into the theatre. Some patrons had several drinks in each hand with some more on the floor by their feet (and not cheap $$ either). There were others sitting near use who were visibly intoxicated and were served more drinks. Needless to say, they ruined the concert for those around them...and nobody (ushers) did anything about it. We wrote to the Board of Directors via the website to voice our concern...they never responded. We WILL NOT patronize the Kirby until they change their policy on alcohol being served.

Went here for different shows: opera, concert, cultural and more.
It is good seating, sound and easy parking. Central location in the heart of Wilkes-Barre at Public Square.
