As usual, Hilton Garden Inn is the closest thing to being home, except you dont have to take care of yourself. Clean, comfortable and friendly service. This hotel is always my first choice.

A VERY satisfied customer.

Comfortable and reliable place to stay when traveling to this area for business. I like my Hilton points! It looks the same in every city...glad there are no surprises! Check in was a bit slow and not overly friendly. Toilet was loud and ran a bit till I jiggled the handle. Cookies were not worth the calories. I like that there are restaurants in walking distance...especially the sushi restaurant right next door. WallMart is in the same large parking lot. Overall it is a good place to stay in Wilkes Barre. Probably one of the better places!

Thank you for the comments! We love our hotels location with many close shops and restaurants. Misu is a favorite and they will give you a 10% discount if you show your room key! I will look into the process of checking in so we can speed up the process. I am sorry to hear our service wasn't where it needed to be, I will assure you this will be resolved. We will also be addressing the maintenance item and placing this on the inspection daily to check. The Hilton Garden Inn makes only Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and becasue of comments like yours, we now also offer a healthy alternative with Apples and Oranges. It was our pleasure to assist you in your travel arrangements. If you should need anything in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out. We would love to see you again!

We traveled to the Wilkes-Barre area this past weekend with a small group and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. Everyone in our group loved this hotel. It looks exactly like the pictures on the website. The location is great. There is a Starbucks directly across the street, a Walmart in walking distance in case you forgot any toiletries, and restaurants all within a five minute drive. The mall and the Lord & Taylor Outlet are nearby and the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle around the area. Each room has a mini fridge and a microwave which is a definite bonus. The beds are very comfortable and have an adjustable knob where you can make the mattress either firmer or softer. The sales manager, Amanda, was very helpful with organizing the block of rooms we needed for our group. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we visit Wilkes Barre.

My husband and I stopped in Wilkes-Barre PA on our way to Savannah. We originally went to the Holiday Inn Express but the hotel was booked with wedding guests. This turned out to be our good fortune. The Hilton Garden Inn is an awesome hotel. As the reviews state, the hotel is centrally located, right off the I81 with a variety of restaurants and shopping in the close vicinity. The rooms are large bright and clean with very comfortable beds. One night turned into two nights due to unfortunate stomach upset but that also turned into out in our favor. After calling the front desk to book an additional night and resting until 12 pm, my husband and I ventured out for some lunch. The hotel has a wonderful patio out front and since it was such a beautiful day, we soaked up the sun and enjoyed the wonderful mountain view. I then decided to take a swim in the pool. The pool was clean and had none of that strong chlorine smell that is found so often in indoor hotel pools. The coffee and fresh baked cookies in the lobby were wonderful. There was a number of staff that we met over the two days and all were friendly and very accommodating. We loved the hotel so much that we decided to return on our way back to Canada two weeks later. The front desk clerk remembered us and welcomed us back to the hotel. Very impressive. We will definitely make this hotel a place to stop on our trips down south. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone stopping in Wilkes-Barre

Room Tip: Took a room at the back of the hotel but the hotel is so good that little outside noise is heard

Heading to New England earlier this month we were lucky enough to find this excellent hotel.

A small issue arose when we first checked in that was quickly addressed. The room next to ours was playing very loud music and we were moved to another floor with the explanation that they had a similar problem with the same people the day before. ???

At any rate.... a top notch hotel with excellent employees. Many restaurants within walking distance.
