I went for my B-Day March 25, 2009 7 days after it opened. The place is Beautiful.
My boys loved the sushi and I thought it was good not being a sushi fan.
The Soup was very good, did not care for the Ginger Dressing, (I've had better),
I had Lobster and it was Very Good, My husband had Scallops, My son Filet, and my 2 other kids had chicken. I tased the Scallops and thought I would get them next time, the Filet was the best I've tasted anywhere. Did not try the chicken, My only complaint on the food it is very salty. The service was slow from the waitstaff but I expected so much with the new opening.

Returned May 2nd with 2 Friends. I had the Filet and was as good as I remember, they had salmon and shrimp with no complaints. The service is getting better.

We will be back

This is a new Japanese restaurant inside the Woodlands Inn and Resort in Wilkes-Barre. It occupies the space where the Thyme Restaurant used to be. I don't have a good review, but it is a new restaurant, so I will probably give it one more try. Maybe, they're having growing pains or working the kinks out. I've never met a Japanese Hibachi meal that I didn't like, until now. I have eaten Japanese in many different restaurants in the W-B area and in other states and have loved each and every one. I'm thinking it may have been our Hibachi Chef, that's why I say I will try it again barring he's not the one manning the grill. Our rice was burned and actually smoking on the grill - you could smell it and there was an over abundance of black pepper being used on everything. I'm not a fan of the Japanese Pepper Chicken that I've sampled at some Chinese buffets, so this is what I'm comparing it to taste wise. My husband on the other hand, liked it...so a matter of opinion I guess. We started with Vegetable tempura which really didn't have a flavor and the clear broth soup wasn't that tasty either. I do have to say, I like the ginger dressing on the salad. On a positive note, it is new and it is beautiful inside. If you opt for a window seat, you have a view of the creek running in the back of the restaurant, so the view gets a 100.
