“Dirty and Needs A Lot of Repairs!”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

I have to admit this was the worst place I've ever stayed in. We've stayed in everything from 2* to 5* ratings, and I judge a place based on that. I don't expect the Ritz when I stay at the Quality Inn. So, here is what we experienced. The check-in was uneventful - they had our reservation and room ready. Walked into the room, looked like the typical Quality Inn. Went into the bathroom, and that's when I started noticing things. The top of the toilet had hair on it (not ours) and a dust buildup. The shower really needs to be updated as it's old tile from the 60's or 70's. That's fine, but the grout was various colors, had mold in it, and was obviously repaired numerous times due to unmatched tiles. The bathroom door had dark stains on it, the entry door was dirty as well - bad enough I could see from the other side of the room. The vent in the bathroom was so dirty it looked like black cat fur on it. TV worked, heat and hot water worked. Breakfast buffet was the only thing saving this place giving it a 2 rating. The buffet was decent and the lady working there was pleasant. Since this place was booked solid, they certainly can take a little bit of their profits and put it back into the hotel. If all other places are booked, I advise you to drive another 10 miles to another hotel and avoid this place. I paid $110 for the night, and in reality this was a $50 hotel at best. Look at the pictures, base your opinion on them.

This hotel offers a mix of good and bad elements

The Good: Decent breakfast, friendly staff, good location, a TGI Friday's restaurant attached to it, and a competitive rate.

The Bad: Very littered grounds, no elevators for taking luggage to the second floor, very dirty outside hallways, dated room interiors, poor sound insulation.

I'll say this - I had to cut my trip short and I did not get charged for the room although I checked out at 1:00 pm. That was a very nice gesture on management's part.

Would I stay here again? It depends on whether or not I could get a reservation at a newer hotel.

I can't believe we had yet another bad experience this trip. We should have turned around and left before we ever checked in. The grounds were totally unkempt and litter and cigarette butts were everywhere. The lobby wasn't quite as bad but close. The desk clerk never welcomed us as we entered and was not at all people friendly. We got our room keys and went out to find our rooms. The outside stairway to the second floor was full of trash and very dirty. Our room was not clean and looked like someone had slept on top of the bed. Our other couples' room had a dirty bathroom and a door that did not work. We went back to the front desk and asked nicely for a refund. The clerk never changed her expression nor did she ask questions, offer an apology - nothing. When I asked for a refund (I paid cash), she had a bit of a dilemma with finding the right amount of cash. The manager came up front and didn't look at any of us nor did she ask any questions or offer an apology. I said thank you as did our other couple and again got no response. We were very quiet about our transactions as we did not want to cause a scene nor did we want to influence anyone else who may have been close enough to hear what was going on. This is surely not what we expected from a Quality Inn.

I was a little apprehensive at first because of the lower rates and a few bad pics on site from 2011. But the location was ideal for my needs, so I booked a King room just for one night (I was actually staying in the area for three nights but just in case…). I ended up adding the rest of the nights after my first night!
Checked in about 8pm and wanted a room on the parking lot side for convenience to my car (had some extra stuff with me to drop off next day at work and didn't want to leave in the car - even though they appear too have 24hr security - I'm a little bit cautious when it comes to any parking lot - indoor or outdoor). Was tired and hungry but they have a TGIF restaurant connected to the lobby - so I did not have to get back out in my car. The TGIF bar came in handy also. Room was very clean with fairly new furniture?and their King bed was I believe one of those "heavenly beds?" - anyway felt like one and had no problems falling asleep.
Woke up early and had to be at work by 6:30am - and their breakfast person (very nice older lady) was nice enough to give me a small to go box with a some breakfast stuff around 6:15 even though they didn't open till 6:30. Saved me a few bucks! Luckily when I got back the hotel was having some sort of monthly manager's party for the guests - free beer and food! Got to meet some staff and they all seemed to be very nice and eager to help (one even went out of the way to make sure I knew a couple of places to eat at nearby - didn't want to do TGIF for all 3 nights).
When I checked out ( a young lady named - Angie?) made sure that I was aware of their policy in allowing pets - just because I mentioned my dog being left behind. Will definitely bring "Teddy" with me next time! The only small drawback was their free workout room was next door at their sister hotel (Host Inn?) but actually making me walk a few extra feet helped me work off my dinner.

Room Tip: I preferred my room on the parking lot side but they also seem to have a nice courtyard (with a walk...

This hotel is more like a motel. All rooms are outside entrance LOUD in the morning, no elevators. Parking was terrible late night, not enough spots for all the guests. Rug was worn and air conditioner did not work too well. Shower floor was a little worn. The hotel rooms seems like they certainly need to be updated. About 3 miles from Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs Casino and the shuttle did not run after Midnight on a SATURDAY night.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms point toward the Garden area(quieter) instead of the parking lot(Very Loud)

We planned and weekend get away- Picked Quality Inn because of the beautiful Jacuzzi and pool. Was very disappointed when we arrived- First impression -It is in need of exterior clean up. garbage and cigarette all over the grounds. We chose a early check-in(3pm) we got there one room was ready the other was not. We are told by a not so friendly front desk clerk that the checking was not a guarantee and they didn't know when the other room will be ready. The hotel was sold out and they were doing the best they could. So we went to check out the pool. THEY HAVE NO POOL or JACUZZI it is in the hotel behind them. You have to go through there lobby to get to it. and you have t get the key from the other hotel to enter the pool. Not a friendly staff at all .. will never stay here again ...
