I've eaten a lot of greek and turkish food, and even some lebanese, but this was the first time that I had swarma (I had the chicken swarma). I'm not sure how it relates to gyros (both are cooked on a vertical spit), but it seems the same. It also seemed a bit "thicker" and less shave like? But it was excellent and I would heartily recommend it along with the hummus and the baba ganoush.
