Baldwin's Book Barn

The bookstore's unique location in a 19th-century multi-story stone barn makes the visit worth the novelty, and the Barn has a wide variety of both old and recent books. I found a paperback copy of "Brighty of the Grand Canyon," a children's book I loved as a kid, and simply enjoyed looking for the books throughout the old halls, arched stone doorways, and mysterious staircases.

The barn also has a sitting area in the Rare Books room on the first floor, and provides WiFi.

you can spend hours in here! love it! I have never purchased anything but I tend to get overwhelmed in here. But its a great place to explore or find the perfect gift for someone who has it all.

If you are in town, you must check this place out. There are so many amazing books here many of which have great history. We found some books from the 1800's! You can find a book for any interest. Also, There are three of the friendliest kitties lurking around the barn. I was looking though a book about cats who paint and one of the cats came up to me and let me pick her up. It was very cute.

This is a must see place for anyone interested in books! Just a few minutes outside of West Chester, in a converted 5 story stone barn from the early 1800's. Character just doesn't cover it. The building alone is reason enough to stop and walk through. The place is crammed to the rafters with books on pretty much every subject under the sun. The vast majority are used and a real bargain. There are a small amt. of brand new selections. Some neat rare / old books too! I went a couple times on my own when visiting PA, then took my teenage daughters when we passed through the area together. We found everything from Manga to cool local interest books. I could spend days here! They have good hours so you can come and browse in the evenings. The staff I've met are helpful, but not in-your-face. Nice! Keep an eye out for the sweet cat(s) sleeping here and there. Baldwin's Book Barn does have a nice website and books can also be ordered online. Can't wait to visit again when passing through. Keep up the great work!
