“Educational trip with the kids”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Very enlightening! Staff is well versed and made the tour fun and interesting for all. We enjoyed the stories behind the exhibits and felt a real sense of connection with the history of our area and the people that came before us. Would recommend for young and old alike.

“Great place to visit”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

CCHS has a wonderful civil war exhibit with thousands of letters and artifacts. They also have a great library for researching local history. The premises are great and the staff very helpful. I recently researched the title to my 18th century home and found lots of interesting facts and documents.

“super interesting.. something for everyone here....”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

definitely worth a look. Huge variety of displays traces west chester nad chester county history through the ages... some very rare and interesting things to see.. be amazed at 'gone now" industries that once dominated the area. Great pieces of furniture and clocks to see. Kids will like it too.. plan to spend at least an hour or more to see it all. not huge...

“Easy to get to, easy to park, easy on the pocketbook”

Between everchanging exhibits and permanent ones, this building always holds something of interest. The staff are incredibly pleasant and helpful ~ even when you aren't really sure exactly what you are lookoing for.

Memberships are a great gift so that the cost of returning is even cheaper. They also provide additional discounts on purchases.

BEAUTIFUL at Christmastime!
