The 90 minutes with Christmas carols with 2 banjo players, hot chocolate from the snack bar and visit with Santa...:what a fun experience for kids (and adults with them!). Train leaves from the West Chester station on Market St. and stops in Glen Mills for an extra picture, then back to West Chester. If you go on a cold day like we did: do bundle up -- it can be truly chilly. The train is technically heated, but keep in mind that being an historic train....you will freeze. Still worth the ride. :-)

I took a group of 10 including 6 children and I would say the only part that made me feel I wasted money was the people who worked there. From the man who gave us tickets to the guy at the snack counter, they were miserable and would not even smile or even act like they wanted to be there. Make the employees enjoy their jobs some more and maybe I would go back.

I am sorry to see that you had such a disappointing visit with us. Every person in our 100% all volunteer staff wants to make your time on the West Chester Railroad an enjoyable one for every one of our patrons. There may be times when our staff appear to be gruff, but those instances almost always involve matters concerning passenger safety. We do not mean to sound rude or inconsiderate, but we must be firm because your safety is a great priority..
I welcome you to come ride with us again in the future so that you may have a more enjoyable experience.

Have used this the past 3 yrs for Santa and Easter Bunny. Great for infants to teens plus parents. Total trip is 90 minutes. 30 minutes each way and 30 minutes with Santa/Easter Bunny and a stroll by the river. There is food and music the whole time.

Great ride on an historic train. Staff are volunteers who dress in period uniforms and are happy to answer any questions about the train. Scenic ride through beautiful fall leaves. Price was reasonable; $15 for Adults. Snacks available for purchase on the train. Heated cars are fine for cool weather. Was a fun, out of the ordinary adventure.

There's nothing like taking a ride on the scenic WCRR. Santa's Express is always a thrill for the little ones. The teens and adults will enjoy the scenic ride through the country. I think they run 3 or 4 trains on Sat & Sun during December.
