Burgundy Lane Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 3 Hotels in Waynesboro
Reviewed July 12, 2014

My wife, daughter (5 yrs old) and I stopped here on way home from a week in Washington DC and loved our two nights at the Burgundy Lane B&B. Dave and Margaret are great hosts and are attentive to all your needs. Breakfast was very filling. We stayed in The Castle room and my daughter truly felt like a princess. She enjoyed her time with Sunny the resident corgi. Gettysburg was only about 25 miles away and the drive was very relaxing (no traffic headaches). If we are ever in the area again we will definately contact Dave and Margaret.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong with any of the room choices. The Castle is the only room with a king-sized bed...

You won't find a nicer place to stay with amazing people. Dave and Margaret are good people and catered to our every need. The jacuzzi tub saved our lives after driving in from Texas. It is safe to say we fell in love with them oh, and Sunny too (ok, and yes the tub.)

My husband and I enjoyed a weekend getaway in southern Pennsylvania over the July 4th weekend. The Innkeepers, David and Margaret won our hearts with their service and most of all with their hospitality. From the get go, they welcome everyone with open arms. The AP thru hikers know this is a good place to take a zero day or take a slack pack moment. They have rooms at every level and the amenities are spot on. Children are welcomed and bring a smile when they see Sunny, the corgi. We look forward to returning this fall.

Room Tip: All rooms are great and comfortable.

The friendly hosts, great breakfast and terrific room made our stay restful and comfortable. Information about the churches for Sunday and good restaurants helped us make the most of our short stay. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which had a large bedroom and bathroom with a Jacuzzi The bedroom...

On our way home from the Outer Banks of North Carolina we stayed at the Burgundy Lane B and B. Our plan was to sleep in Waynesboro and visit Gettysburg the following day. We couldn't be more pleased with the experience. What a lovely way to end our vacation. The "Out of Africa" room was delightful. The attention to detail was impressive, every item reflected the theme of the room. The linens, room temperature, TV and bathroom exceeded expectations.

Margaret and David are very welcoming and helpful. Even Sunny, the corgi, seemed happy to see us.

Breakfast was remarkable. The table setting was exquisite. We were served and the French Toast, my favorite, was scrumptious.

I can't think of a nicer way to wind up a vacation. Burgundy Lane is a short and scenic drive from Gettysburg.

We originally reserved a room for two nights, we had to change rooms but were able to stay a third night. Both rooms, the Captain's Room and Wilderness were beautifully decorated. The other rooms Margret showed us were nicely decorated too. Their dog, Sunny, was also fun. The breakfasts were excellent, filling, but not stuffing. Both Dave and Margret are fun to talk with and a wonderful couple. Burgundy Lane is a little of 30 minutes from Gettysburg, but a beautiful drive, which coincides with the retreat of the Confederate wagon train from Gettysburg. We highly recommend Burgundy Lane to you and will return there, Lord willing.

Room Tip: If you need twin beds for some reason, that is available on the first floor. Nicely decorated too!
