This hotel has a wonderful view. It has great employes who are willing to help and Gavin the bartender is as good as they come. We were told that the owners are not putting any money into the structure but hope only to sell. With alittle effort and advertizing this place could be a gem and big money maker. Too bad-really!

Not the first time I've stayed at the Ramada Washington, but definitely the last.

We're not picky people ... as long as a room/hotel is clean we don't mind that it isn't newly renovated. And we can even get past the fact that the "non-smoking" room smelled like a freshly emptied ashtray. We weren't planning to spend much time in the room anyway. But when a drunken baseball player tries to barge into your room at 4am with a card-key that works, there's a serious problem.

Apparently, one of a whole team of drunken minor league ball players we were sandwiched between returned to the hotel from a nightly pub crawl and tried to get into the wrong room ... our room. When the key wouldn't work and he couldn't figure out why (presumably because he was too drunk to read the numbers on the door), he went to the front desk and they re-keyed it for him without checking the registration for the room. When he returned to our room with his new key, he inserted it and the door unlocked. Fortunately we had the chain on.

Not only did the Ramada not place us with other families, which would make sense for all guests staying there - including the ball players, they didn't follow basic procedures to ensure the security of their guests.

Don't stay here ... it's not safe.

Paid $31 + tax on Priceline for a Friday night stay for my wife and I. This may have been a bargain compared to rates I saw posted along the highway on this trip but still feel like we overpaid.

Motel sits at the top of a very big hill with a narrow drive. Another car coming down as we were heading up nearly caught us head on. (As much my fault as the other driver's.)

Evening desk clerk was a real sourpuss. Wanted to make an imprint of my Visa for 'phone calls' and assured me the card would not be charged unless they were used. (I use a cell phone like most people do these days to avoid stupid motel/hotel fees.) I found out later that a $10 charge WAS run on my card and I'm still waiting for it to be refunded. I was in a leg cast and the clerk at first assigned us a 2nd floor room. When I asked about the location of the elevator I was told there wasn't one. HELLO??? See the cast? The clerk grudgingly put us in a 1st floor room not too far from the lobby/front of the hotel. On the way to the room we ended up taking a wrong turn and found a pretty wild party going on in the rear of the motel...twenty-somethings hanging off the balcony and beer flowing pretty freely. To our relief, our room was away from the happenings and we were not disturbed.

Room was pretty good. VERY clean and we appreciated the in-room fridge. In the middle of the night, my wife had a migrane and I called the front desk to see if any sort of pain reliever was available. It was a different clerk and he was VERY helpfull...totally different from the evening clerk. I also noted signs about their continental breakfast and asked about it. He looked at our reservation and noted that the priceline price excluded us from the breakfast. He went ahead though and gave us tickets for breakfast saying that there were guests that would skip and it wouldn't matter if we took their place. What a great guy!

Unfortunatly, at breakfast we found it was the poorest selection we'd ever seen...no wonder so many skipped. (I wondered why they made such a big deal out of it to bother excluding priceline customers? We're talking a bag of bread with a few assorted jam/jellies, rice crispies / milk, OJ and coffee.)

Motel wasn't horrible, but wouldn't look to book again.

This place is a dump and not worth the $34 I paid through an on-line bidding company. The drain in the bathtub was rusted, the decor was in very bad condition and had an overall dirty feel. It was probably a very nice hotel, 30 years ago.
