“Easy Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2014

For a lunch crowd, I found the restaurant to be nearly empty. We were seated in a booth, and our waitress was attentive throughout our stay.

The cup of tortilla soup was very good with a nice balance of creamy, crunchy, and heat. I enjoyed it. I also had a Reuben with fries. It was a large sandwich, so I took half in a to go box. The corned beef was better than expected.

We were surprised to learn that on Wednesdays, diners are given two cookies of their choice as a complimentary dessert. That was nice!

The only downside of the visit was the music. Quite loud. I guess that's because the wait staff and hostesses were younger than usual.

“This one needs a new chef”

How in the world can the food at one Max & Ermas be SO different from others ??
AVOID this one ! One of the worst meals I have ever had, and I eat out very often at all levels of restaurants.

“Lacking in many ways”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

Stopped for dinner. We have eaten here several times and this place has gone down hill.
Entrees are overall mediocre at best.
5 dollar side Caesar salad was 3-4 pieces of lettuce, foul dressing, and pack of crackers. (no croutons or cheese)
signature tortilla soup had a burnt taste.
place is too dark to see anything.
beer prices high.
the warm cookies are not enough to justify eating here again.

“First time dinner experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014

It was nice on a Friday evening to have no waiting with a baby in tow. Waiter was friendly but kinda ditzy. Didn't really get orders right even though we pointed at the menu. That being said- no complaints about the food. We had burgers, salad, sandwiches in our party and everything was cooked correctly and tasted good- the tortilla soup was especially yummy. Reasonably priced, we would come back if in the area again.
