“Quality ingredients, but not even close to being worth the price”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

I've been to several The Melting Pot locations. The food is always good, but I always leave feeling like I spent a lot of money on a selection of unprepared ingredients that I could buy and prepare for myself for ~$10. I guess you pay for the atmosphere, and the fact that nothing else like it exists. That said, $40+ for a plate of marinaded meats and a pot filled with broth/oil to cook it in is ridiculously unreasonable. The presentation aspect of the meal is non-existent and a customer is perfectly well able to improperly cook their meal since there is no chef to prepare it correctly. It also always amazes me that nobody gets sick from undercooked chicken. It has to happen all the time, whenever somebody (most likely a guy) gets impatient waiting for their little piece of meat to cook.

“Great place for a celebration dinner!”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

We went here for my mother's birthday - and it is a nice place for celebrating special occassions. The service is outstanding... the menu is unusual and takes alot of explaning, and they are very attentive to making it a great experience for all!

It's is quite pricey but that's understandable given the uniqueness and the service!

“Fun for a Special Occasion!”
Reviewed March 16, 2012

The cheese and chocolate are the best courses. Be prepared to spend about 2.5 hours on dinner...very slow process since you have to cook your entree yourself!

“Fun and delicious”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

This past week I went to a Bridal shower at the Melting Pot. It was a fun and delicious experience. I enjoyed the first dipping pot which was two different kinds of cheeses. Next was a delicious salad with the ingredients chopped up in small pieces just the way I like it. The next course was a great combination of meats, fish, veggies etc. to cook up in vegetable oil. The dumplings were everyone's favorites too. The last course, dessert, was so good. Brownies, strawberries and little cupcakes to dip in chocolate or bannana Foster. Besides the good food, the service was good as well. Very nice staff. Good drinks completed the experience. I can say I would like to go again, but would probably save this experience for a special occasion.

“Dinner - not only delicious but entertaining!”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

Let me say upfront that the concept of The Melting Pot is not for everyone. The whole meal is by fondue, cooking by yourselves (cheese fondue for appetizer, cooking raw meat/fish/poultry in broth for entree, chocolate for dessert) - this will not appeal to everyone. For us, though, the experience of cooking the food was half the fun! It is a leisurely paced dinner, so allot a good amount of time. The food is delicious, with several dipping sauces for the entrees (there are different packages including beef (sirloin or filet), chicken, fish, ravoli and other things) and veggies (you cook potatoes, broccoli and other veggies). I would recommend this not only for couples (it was a romantic evening with my wife) but also for families (our 10 year-old daughter loves to join us and help cook).
