Where do you go for a drink on Superbowl Sunday if you are not, (perish the thought), a football fan? We picked the Indian Rock Inn and it was a touchdown for us! The bar there is not a sports bar. No blaring TV and no screaming and groaning patrons for us to share our “date time” with. Instead we had a perfect outing with good drinks, a good meal, good conversation, and great music. The music being played that day was, I believe, by The Irish Kings. Nice sound. We had our dinner at the bar and enjoyed getting the history of the Inn and its previous owners from Chris the bartender. The current owner also stopped by and visited for a few minutes. Nice.
Our food arrived promptly and we both thought the onion soup was the best we had ever eaten. I had the asparagus in puff pastry for an appetizer. It was a different and delicious way of getting my veggies. My husband’s steak was cooked perfectly and my Greek salad was fresh and flavorful. All in all, a good time was had and we will return again soon.
