“Perfect Wedding Weekend”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

We used the Inne and grounds for our daughters wedding reception. It is a perfect venue for a small wedding. The Stables are a wonderful, rustic and cosy place for an intimate reception dinner. We rented all but 1 of the rooms at the Inne and the Harvest house for family and out of town quests. This made the weekend even more special. We were able to visit and spend time together as well as celebrate together. Everyone loved the Inne and enjoyed staying there. The back courtyard was perfect for the after party and dancing. The only thing I could think of to make it better would have been a few more twinkle lights. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty. There were plenty of baked goods and fruit put out also. We plan on going back for a weekend with the family. A great place to relax and enjoy the good life. Thanks, Nancy and Bill ,for making the wedding weekend a wonderful time to remember!

Room Tip: The rooms in the main Inne do not have tv's...so if you like to relax at night with a good movie...

We stayed at the Inne on a whim as we were visiting the Laurel Caverns area and just decided to spend the night. The local hotels were booked up, so we searched the Internet, and found the Inne, and were so lucky to get their last room. The owner stayed up to let us check in as we booked a little late in the evening. The main house was very inviting and Bill was super friendly. He gave us a tour and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Woodlands King Room in the Harvest House. It was charming and romantic with a whirlpool tub for two. I loved all of the rustic details, it gave the room a warm cabin feel. We awoke for our complimentary breakfast the next morning, which was absolutely delicious, and found that the property was just breathtaking. We could have relaxed on the porch swing staring out at the trees and greenery for hours. It was the most peaceful stay I have ever had. This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast, so I was a bit nervous as I am a person who likes privacy, and at this Inn, I had nothing to worry about. We were able to enjoy our privacy without feeling too secluded, and we really enjoyed having breakfast with the other guests and the owners! The Inne at Watson's Choice truly is a hidden gem, and I recommend it to anyone visiting the area or looking for a weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Just a tip in general: If you are checking in after dark, I would recommend calling first for direc...

The general tone of the reviews here is accurate. In good moments, the Inne is beautifully kept, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. In its bad moments, it is overbearingly parental and unprofessional. The room was great and had everything we needed -- except windows that could open on a beautiful night. The innkeepers were accommodating -- except when they were alternately brusque, inconsiderate of guests' privacy, and forgetful about such important details as our confirmed reservation. Take note that the surrounding area doesn't have much to offer, and Fallingwater is a good 40-45 minute drive away. Next time we visit we would consider staying in Pittsburgh and taking a day trip to Fallingwater.

Property is beautiful and well kept. However, the innkeeper, Nancy Ross, is a disaster. Do not go because you will not feel welcome. You will be greeted with indifference and a thick rule book which makes your visit less than enjoyable. Rooms are nice, but not luxurious. My wife was actually scolded for bringing the wrong coffee mug to breakfast. Customer service is lacking. Such a shame for a nice property which would enjoy full occupancy otherwise. We wondered why it was virtually empty and now we know.

We visited here to attend a wedding in the area and to see Fallingwater. The house is lovely, the bed comfortable. The property is well maintained and the surrounding 42 acres of farmland are beautiful to look at. As mentioned previously, not being able to open the windows is a disadvantage, especially if you're visiting on one of those rare perfect days with comfortable temperature and low humidity. The temp inside was relatively comfortable, but if you're very sensitive to a lack of circulating air for the times when the AC isn't blowing, you don't have any control here.

That said, the breakfast was delicious, the lemonade and cookies in the afternoon and availability of wine at night were nice touches. We stayed in the flower garden room, not huge, but pretty and quiet. Don't miss Fallingwater! Spectacular!!

A very charming former farm house, on the edge of town and bordering a meadow. A good place to stay if you plan to visit Fallingwater, a 45 minutes drive. It has a beautiful garden where you can sit and relax. Our room (in the old barn) was rather small and crowded, not what you would expect in a rural inn. It offered limited storage room which can be uncomfortable for tourists with a lot of luggage. Breakfast is very good and varied. The owners are attentive and helpful, although a little rigid when requested to change any routin.

Very quaint, rustic environment. Was attending the WVU graduation in Morgantown, but chose to stay at this great facility only about 40 minutes away. Great innkeepers. Terrific breakfasts and enjoyed the conversations between guests and innkeepers. Stayed in the Ivy Room and really enjoyed the garden view out my window. Only drawback in my opinion was that I couldn’t open the window and hear the birds. Expect to attend another WVU graduation in 2 years and am already planning on staying at this B&B for that event, too.
