“Lovely Rural Retreat”
Reviewed November 12, 2011

We arrived after dark and were happy to see such a warm and inviting atmosphere inside the front door. We called the innkeepers on the phone at the desk and were invited to help ourselves to warm cider and chocolate chip cookies while they arrived at the desk to check us in. Check in was effortless and Bill, the owner and innkeeper, was welcoming. He showed us around, gave us great maps for the area, and answered all of our questions. We stayed in the Four Seasons room which is not huge, but very comfortable and not cramped. It is warmly decorated, extremely clean with all the small touches...wonderful robes, plush towels, comfy bed and a great Jacuzzi for two. The property is charming and has a wonderful history dating back to 1769. We are here in cold weather, but plan to return when it's warmer so we can enjoy the outside areas which look peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast area is nicely decorated, the food was exceptional and the innkeepers are friendly hosts. There are many amenities that make your stay extra comfortable and homey. We've stayed in many B&Bs and this ranks near the top of our experiences.

Room Tip: The web site description of our room was accurate.

While we would recommend this inn b/c it is lovely, comfortable, and serves great bkfts, we found N... to be curt and rude several times. We stayed in the two rooms in the very back of the main house, main floor, b/c one had handicap access for our friends and b/c they listed a fireplace in the common room. The rooms were very nice & clean and beds were comfortable. The fireplace wasn't even a gas stove, but it warmed the room. We had a beautiful view out our windows, but signs were posted everywhere, even on the window panes. The location is perfect for visiting Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. And don't miss Nemacolin Spa and Conference Center - what a "WOW!" Should mention that the Inne had red wine available to all. Nice touch!

Room Tip: Our rooms were very quiet, almost too much so for us as we like to open our windows to hear the nigh...

Wonderful breakfast! Yummy 5 Berry Cobbler. The common areas were furnished with exceptional antiques and comfortable seating. The grounds were beautiful.

We only went here because we were given a gift certificate and we we will never go again. We went over Valentine's Day weekend of 2011 and we were arriving after normal check-in and let the innkeeper knew as is policy but it was obvious when we arrived that she was put out by that and she overcharged us which we didn't realize until arriving home. We just did not get that warm and fuzzy feeling that you should when staying at a B&B and Nancy Ross was quite rude. It was a nice room though and the breakfast was good on Sunday and that's the first time we met her husband who seemed quite pleasant but you don't really see much of him. You are better off staying at Nemacolin Woodlands.

On a fall trip to Pennsylvania to tour Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob we selected the Inne at Watson's Choice based on its Trip Advisor rating. Our rooms were the Quilt and Blue Bird located on the second floor and both were lovely, small and quiet.
As I had anticipated, upon check-in Nancy made us aware of the guest guidelines which annoyed some of the Trip Advisor reviewers. However, I came to appreciate why these innkeepers wish to preserve the ambiance of their inn which is immaculate and lovingly decorated with so much attention to detail.
We did not meet Bill, but found Nancy to be a very down to earth lady with whom we enjoyed a nice long chat one of the mornings. We found it very interesting to hear about the huge undertaking to construct the present day inn which indeed was and continues to be a "labor of love."
If you like delicious breakfasts with fresh ingredients each morning, look no further. The afternoon cookies and brownies were a bonus too.
My favorite perk was the inviting garden/courtyard with several choice areas in which to enjoy a glass of wine or read a good book. Not only is the inn spotless, but so are the outdoor seating areas and the wrap-around-porch all with comfortable cushions and pillows for the chairs and swings--no mildew and cobwebs here!
If you appreciate delicious breakfasts, cordial innkeepers, a cozy atmosphere, attention to detail, and a peaceful outdoor setting, spend some time at the Inne at Watson's Choice.

We routinely visit my family in the area and this is the first time we stayed at the Inne, The place is fabulous and the owners friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. We have told all our friends about it since coming back home.

Room Tip: We had 2 rooms the Sunflower (2 twin beds) and the Americana. Both were excellent.

The Inne was very beautiful and well kept up. We found it really a good value - the same price or slightly more than the chain hotels in town. The breakfast and service were wonderful. Our room was quiet and relaxing. It is easy to get to town for a dinner out.
