We arrived after dark and were happy to see such a warm and inviting atmosphere inside the front door. We called the innkeepers on the phone at the desk and were invited to help ourselves to warm cider and chocolate chip cookies while they arrived at the desk to check us in. Check in was effortless and Bill, the owner and innkeeper, was welcoming. He showed us around, gave us great maps for the area, and answered all of our questions. We stayed in the Four Seasons room which is not huge, but very comfortable and not cramped. It is warmly decorated, extremely clean with all the small touches...wonderful robes, plush towels, comfy bed and a great Jacuzzi for two. The property is charming and has a wonderful history dating back to 1769. We are here in cold weather, but plan to return when it's warmer so we can enjoy the outside areas which look peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast area is nicely decorated, the food was exceptional and the innkeepers are friendly hosts. There are many amenities that make your stay extra comfortable and homey. We've stayed in many B&Bs and this ranks near the top of our experiences.
