This restaurant is a gem in the middle of nowhere. It is located near the Elk Mountain Ski Area in the Endless Mountains. The buildings are very old European looking. The atmosphere inside is cozy with wood beams and fireplaces. The views of the mountains out of the many windows are spectacular. They also have an outdoor area for dining and a separate bar/tavern area.
The menu is quite extensive and reasonably priced for fine dining. Our choices for dinner were Grilled Shrimp Kabobs and Pan Fried Rainbow Trout. Both entrees were very generous in size and came with a basket of fresh baked bread, potato and vegetable. Each entree was about $20. They also have a large selection of dessert items (most are $6) and wine by the glass ($5.75). Our waitress (Tabitha) was very pleasant providing us with information about the restaurant as well as details about the menu. Our cost was about $75 which included two entrees, two desserts, two glasses of wine, two coffees, tax and tip.
The Inn itself has 13 rooms in which to stay and its location is also within a stones throw of the Endless Mountain Resort which is where we stayed. In fact, the two places share an indoor pool and hot tub located in a separate building on the ground.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in this area.
