Not fancy, but clean, comfortable, nice dining area, nice bar area. THE best French Onion Soup I've ever had. Nice portions. We ate here for lunch, and just had soup, chicken strips, and a club sandwich, so nothing gourmet, but I would definitely return to try a good, hot meal.

“Great steaks and very affordable food”
Reviewed March 7, 2011

We stayed at the Stone Bridge Inn when we skiied Elk Mtn this year, but had dinner at the Candlelight Inn two nights in a row. We had prime rib and strip steak and both were excellent. The menu is large and the portions are huge. It feels much like a cowboy bar in the bar itself, with lots of locals. There is a sign that jokes "Hippies exit by side door." If you don't mind the redneck vibe, its a great place to eat after skiing the mountain.

“Cozy, nice folks, very good food, great service.”
Reviewed September 14, 2010

This restaurant is near Elk Mountain Ski. It is a great place to visit after a day of camping, skiing, hunting, blueberry or apple picking (just a few of the the things to do in the area). I love this area-- it is unpretentious and friendly, and so is this restaurant. The service is great. We've had mother's day brunch here, come here for drinks, and recently had dinner here for my husband's birthday. The steamers can't be beat, and the specials were very good. We had a stuffed and grilled poblano pepper, steamers, and the seafood salad. The waitresses were very helpful in tailoring the meal to us, because we didn't want to have too much food left over (we were camping in the area). I also ordered a drink they didn't really have the ingredients for, but tried their best to accommodate. They cater to families, tourists, locals, and later in the evening on weekends there might even be a little dancing to the jukebox.
