I have waited 43 years to see my brother married, it happened 11-11-11 at the Stoney Point Bed & Breakfast!! I have been a best man and a groom a few times all up the East Coast and this place, is by far the most effecient, clean, and enjoyable of all of them!! the Laird of the Manor is knowledgable, likable , efficent and most entertaining!

Of all the places my wife and I have stayed, the Stony Point Inn was by far the most enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing of them all. Pavi absolutely went out of his way to see that our every need was met or exceeded. From the totally unexpected meal upon arrival to the crackling fireplace in the parlor to the offer of free food to take with us for the road, we were totally delighted. In the bathroom all the shampoos, soaps and other toiletries were provided. If we could give the Stony Point Inn an 11 on a scale of 1-10 we surely would.

A great place to stay while being away from home. With excellent accomodations, coffee in the morning, in room flat screen tv, wifi, the best place to stay away from home on business surrounded by welcoming comfort.

The little town of Tyrone and the Stony Point bed and breakfast are truly a hidden treasure.
What a pleasure it was wake up in the morning to a hot cup of coffee and a tasty
breakfast that was prepared just for us. To be able to wander through the hallways and sit in the living room and wonder what it was like to have lived in that beautiful home. Stony Point bed and breakfast has been preserved and immaculately taken care of. The Stony Point bed and breakfast is steep in history from the Pennsylvania Railroad glory days and we were thrilled to be able to go back in time and enjoy it.

Stony Point Bed & Breakfast in Tyrone is, perhaps, one of Blair County's greatest treasures. Stony Point Bed & Breakfast is nestled on a wooded hillside in Tyrone, PA, a virtual oasis from the interstate and crass commercialism. This magnificent stone mansion is both regal and relaxing and represents the history of Tyrone. Built by the Superintendent of the Pennslvania Railroad's Tyrone Division in the early 20th century, it has been meticulously maintained. Basement beams carry the stenciling marks of early Pennsylvania Railroad freight cars. The guest is surrounded by elegance and hospitality and the town is a time capsule of local history. Tyrone is ideally situated between State College (Pennsylvania State University and Altoona, PA (Railroader's Memorial Museum and World Famous Horseshoe Curve). Hunting, Fishing, great State Parks and local amusements abound. I give it 5 stars !

Room Tip: Each bedroom is unique and superbly decorated to match the history and architecture. Private baths a...

A great place to stay. Paul made us feel right at home in this luxurious bed and breakfast. Everything was perfect from the room to the food and of course, the price. We couldn't have asked for more!

Our family is growing quickly with marriages and children, and the question was where to house everyone for the holidays. The answer was Stony point as it was a convenient drive from our home. It far surpassed our dreams and hopes for Christmas. Everything was perfect for their home away from home.....from sitting in front of the warmth of the fireplace to gathering for a meal in the dining room to preparing our feast in the large kitchen to collapsing from exhaustion in the beautiful bedrooms.. Our children were treated to a spectacular weekend...and we were able to house them less than a mile from our home...Tyrone is lucky to have such a treasure in their town...
