A great place to stay. Paul made us feel right at home in this luxurious bed and breakfast. Everything was perfect from the room to the food and of course, the price. We couldn't have asked for more!

Our family is growing quickly with marriages and children, and the question was where to house everyone for the holidays. The answer was Stony point as it was a convenient drive from our home. It far surpassed our dreams and hopes for Christmas. Everything was perfect for their home away from home.....from sitting in front of the warmth of the fireplace to gathering for a meal in the dining room to preparing our feast in the large kitchen to collapsing from exhaustion in the beautiful bedrooms.. Our children were treated to a spectacular weekend...and we were able to house them less than a mile from our home...Tyrone is lucky to have such a treasure in their town...

My companion and I recently stayed at Stony Point on a cold December weekend when we were the only guests. The inkeeper Paul prepared a wonderful dinner for us when were at a loss as to where to eat for the night. The next morning he woke up early to prepare breakfast for us after we said that we would depart early, and was amazingly patient and understanding when we were late coming down. It was another great meal. Despite our admittedly demanding requests Paul made us feel like we were truly honored guests and was great company over dinner and breakfast. I would like to repeat what previous reviews have stated about the special nature of this property. The home is beautiful and conveys a warm, cozy atmosphere despite its size. The tour was a nice added bonus, pointing out the many original features of the house unique to its construction during the 1920s. The room itself was tastefully appointed with all the comforts that one could need. I would definitely like to return someday, and would recommend Stony Point as a perfect getaway for anyone in central Pennsylvania.

Stony Point is a home away from home and it makes you feel special the moment you enter the driveway and take your first few steps into this magnificant stone house! This is a truely amazing property with many amenities to enjoy. From the "Bar-B-Ques" (during football season) to the "Wine and Cheese Tasting" on Saturday nights. Visitng Pennsylvannia is going to be a treat with all it's charm and character this place offers. But what would a place be without a wonderful Innkeeper to give it charm and vitality. This is what Paul gives to this breathtaking Inn. From the great smells of the wonderful omletes and fresh bread he makes, to the cozy, thick fluffy towels that smell like you've entered a field full of flowers. This historical house brings you to know about history, relaxing and leisure. This pristine home is emmaculate and squeeky clean, with room to spare! Filled with beautiful furniture, historical collectibles and fine art this home is sure to keep pleasing time and time again.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants a wonderful experience to get away and feel special. Without Paul this home would still be beautiful, but it would lack the love, care and feel of what a unique place should feel like. Pual has a wonderful, bubbly personality who lights up this home with charm and character. You feel comfortable and special as soon as you meet him. Thank-you Paul for making us feel special and treating us like family! This will always be a very special place I call home :)

Room Tip: The "Pennsylvannia Suite" on the third floor was my favorite! It gave us the privacy we ne...

This beautiful stone manor set atop a wooded hilltop was the perfect getaway for our reunion. The innkeeper, Paul, was patient in working with us when we were not sure how many would be in our group. He gave us the whole house to make sure we all had our own bathrooms and was willing to give us two additional bedrooms, if needed, at another guest house just up the road. Upon our arrival Paul greeted us warmly and gave us a personal tour. We watched him do the same with each of the couples as they arrived. Our bedrooms were large and decorated tastefully and had special touches like a basket of candies, a mini fridge with our favorite spring water and soda in it as well as a selection of coffees and teas. Our bathroom was also large and had all the items you might forget to pack like perfume, first aid kits and shampoo. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. The living area was large and comfortable and was the perfect gathering place for all in our group. The tours, complete with secret hiding places, ghost stories and historic fixtures gave you a deeper appreciation for this unique property.

Room Tip: We chose he rooms on the top floor because they offered the largest space and the most privacy.

Great excitement from Paul (the innkeeper). This property has great historical significances, especially related to the railroad history of the area. The rooms are wonderfully appointed and the whole interior is freshly keep. Thanks for the tour and I hope more guests enjoy your hospitality.

Room Tip: Third floor suite has a great homey feel.

I grew up in the area and the success of this bed and breakfast is a great thing to see. The new innkeeper Paul is friendly and so talented. The house itself is an Pennsylvania Railroad landmark, with crossbeams even made from salvaged railcar planks. Tyrone is an excellent central point for reaching State College, Alleghenies nature activities, and the northern Pennsylvania Wilds. Our stay at the Stony Point was a highlight of a very restful trip.
